Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 8 → 3.86/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Surprisingly, a spongebob game is better than a higher-number-than-I'd-like platforming games. This game shines charm everywhere. It's visuals and the refreshing feeling while playing this game make it already worth buying. It's a simple game to just shut your brain off a little, offering a smooth gameplay, highly enjoyable levels and interesting boss battles. The game includes extremely well done soundtrack and a bunch of beloved and varied characters to play, it doesn't really need much more to be a journey that keeps you hooked to the end. Probably the IP takes a big role in this, but it is what it is, this game has completely bought me.
Honestly I was looking to replay the Spongebob Movie Game but the PC version is much different from console so looked for an alternative and here I am. I remember the BFBB box art from seeing it in stores when I was a kid but never got into it and I'm happy that I am now. I was initially hoping for something linear like the Movie Game but I'm glad this is not, its pretty awesome exploring and freeroaming Bikini Bottom and interacting with the characters and world and there is still an overarching mission to complete so its not like you get lost in the collectathon or side missions. Lots of areas, having a mostly-open overworld is something that I absolutely craved from the Movie game and BFBB delivers. Graphics are pretty nice. Voices could have been better on some characters but whatever, its really not that big of a deal. Overall great game so far glad I went searching for it.

great remake
Rehydrated is exactly what the title promises, and then some. Going back to watch a direct comparison of what was changed and what was kept, it's hard not to appreciate just how much work went into this. The remake takes a cult classic and polishes it into the version most of us probably thought we remembered. The only real gripes I had with the game feel more like artifacts of the gaming landscape at the time than anything the developers could be faulted for. And if you've only read this far and you're on the fence about purchasing — don't be. This is a lighthearted experience that genuinely anyone could pick up and have a great time with. Let's talk about the obvious: the textures, animations, shadows, lighting, and polygon count are fantastic. There's no denying that compared to the original, this game represents years' worth of technological improvement. Having spent some time with the original on older hardware, I can't imagine going back. I know that might be a hot take, but I genuinely appreciate the quality-of-life changes made here. Rehydrated is buttery smooth, responsive, and the checkpoints are a joy. Reading around, Switch players have reported long load times on respawn — but that is absolutely not an issue on PC, where loads clock in at around five seconds at most. I was able to jump back into attempts quickly without sitting around waiting, which kept the momentum going. The lush textures, new cartoonish animations, and high polygon counts make most levels feel alive and vibrant — sometimes almost overwhelmingly so. There were moments I missed items or characters simply because there was so much going on visually. That said, I'd take a gorgeous, fleshed-out level over a desolate, uninspired one any day. The scattering of memes throughout the world is also a fun nod that fans of the series will get a kick out of. I will say the voice acting from a couple of characters felt a bit lackluster, and having read into it afterward, I understand why — though it doesn't entirely erase the disappointment of not hearing the originals. The dialogue itself, however, is absolutely fantastic. Sharp, clever, and witty in a way I genuinely wish more modern games would attempt. Unless you're a diehard purist, I think most players will embrace the new performances and visual reimagining just fine. Some parts of the game do show their age, which I touched on in my previous review of the Destroy All Humans remake as well — it's just the nature of revisiting games from 20+ years ago. My main frustration here was the padding used to artificially extend the game's length. Collecting at least 75 golden spatulas requires backtracking through levels with different characters just to reach the boss door, and later on this genuinely disrupts the flow and enjoyment. Certain sections require switching back and forth more than 20 times to solve puzzles, which isn't game-breaking, but becomes a persistent annoyance once you understand what's being asked of you. On the flip side, one older-school aspect I did enjoy rediscovering was the platforming. It struck me how few modern games lean into it this heavily — I genuinely couldn't think of anything I'd played recently that is so dependent on it, and it holds up well. This cult classic is the game you remember from childhood — provided you don't go back and look at the original. From start to finish it's packed with enjoyable moments for any age group, and there's very little I can say negatively about it beyond some minor personal gripes. Remakes are genuinely starting to put some modern titles to shame, and Purple Lamp Studios should be proud of what they've achieved here. A great time with a great game. 87/100.

Worth it on sale, good platformer, achievements are not that hard to grind, I do prefer the original's art style though.
