Most accessible way to play a great classic platformer, but I don't know if I can say it is the "Best" way. I don't know if there is a best way, honestly. Every version of both classic and rehydrated include their own sets of pros and cons. Personally I am not a fan of the stylistic changes this game introduces from the original. I get why it is done, spongebob in 3d has became its' own spin of the spongebob artstyle, focusing more on bubbly shapes and less on texture detail, but I do feel like much of the charm of the original game was lost with the translation. Honestly, just play the game, no matter how, It is a great time and worth the entry fee.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is a faithful remake that successfully brings back the classic platformer with much better graphics and smoother controls. The colorful worlds, silly humor, and playable characters (SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy) are all delightful and capture the show's early vibe perfectly. That said, the gameplay can feel a bit repetitive after a while, and some levels drag on WAY longer than they should. It's not revolutionary, but it's charming and enjoyable, especially if you have nostalgia for the original. Great for a relaxed playthrough or playing with kids. Worth picking up on sale.

took me 14 hours to 100% this game. its a work of art. better than both witcher 3 and rdr2. the story had me on the edge of the seat the whole time. the voice acting was top notch, mr. krabs voice was the best. i will never find a game as good as this, for as long as i live
