I was a loyal player who invested around 670 hours into SpiritVale, all played manually. I genuinely enjoyed the game, played regularly with my guildmates, and spent countless hours building my character and supporting the community. One day, after playing a long session with my guildmates where we killed almost 800 bosses, I logged out and went to sleep. When I woke up, I discovered that my account had been permanently banned for “botting.” I appealed and waited more than a week for a response. Eventually, the admin team decided to keep the permanent ban, but I was not provided with convincing evidence showing that I was actually botting. This is extremely disappointing. After 670 hours of manual gameplay, to have my account permanently banned based on an accusation that I strongly dispute, without being shown proper evidence, makes me question how bans are being handled. In my experience, the admin team has been incompetent and inefficient in handling this case. There was little transparency, poor communication, and no meaningful explanation that would allow me to understand or properly defend myself against the accusation. I loved playing SpiritVale, but 670 hours of loyalty can apparently disappear with one ban and no satisfactory explanation. I’m leaving this review to warn other players: think carefully before investing hundreds of hours into this game. You may enjoy the gameplay, but if something happens to your account, don't expect the support or appeal process to necessarily work the way you would expect. 670 hours played. All manual. Permanently banned. No convincing evidence shown. Extremely disappointing.

From all the games that i have played on steam, this would be my first review going out for this game because of how poor of a communication from the Devs & Community Manager Team on handling out bugs in the game. I was playing the game for more than a week, got suspended saying i was doing suspicious activity. Cool, gotta open a ticket and afterwards i received a usual template reply bot from one of the devs. The suspension was 4 days so i shrug it off. Fast forward to the date that i supposed to be able to login to the game, the suspension was added manually from the team so i opened another help ticket, same bot and template answer. No solution, no reason of why they gave that suspension, no reply, they just closed the ticket off one way. This time the suspension was another 3 days, and with a heavy heart i thought well, couldn't be that bad. 3 days passed, i logged in to the game, and there you go permanent suspension. Just like that, the money i spent to buy this game and cosmetics in game (NOT RMT) plus the time and all my progress gone in a full swoop. Not ending here, i opened yet ANOTHER TICKET plus ANOTHER THREAD on their official discord describing my problems, i thought third time is the charm but guess what ? they did not answered on what i did was wrong, they simply closed my ticket & thread and kicked me out from the server. Think twice before you want to purchase this game. Enjoy :) *if the developer are reading this, you got a great game but you hired people who neglect your own community, good luck further*
Just got banned from Spirit Vale, and I’m absolutely pissed. I AM NOT A BOT. I AM NOT USING ANY BOT, MACRO, AUTOBOT, OR ANY OTHER BOT-TYPE SOFTWARE. I’m a legitimate player playing the game myself on a ROG Ally. Apparently, someone messaged me and I didn’t see it. Responding to messages on a handheld is already difficult compared to playing on a regular PC with a keyboard and mouse. Somehow, missing a message has now resulted in me getting banned. Seriously? What kind of stupid system is this? I’ve been playing the game legitimately, and instead of properly investigating the situation, you ban me. If you’re going to accuse players of botting, then you better have actual evidence that they are using bot software. ROG Ally players should not be treated like bots simply because we’re playing on a handheld device and may not immediately see or respond to a message. This is extremely frustrating and completely unacceptable. I’m not a bot, I’m not using bot software, and I’m not cheating. After this experience, I DO NOT recommend Spirit Vale, especially to ROG Ally or handheld players. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not play this game.
Stupid game in this years, the staff banning people just from player reporting who player they direct massage not answer, and u will got banned, then when u appeals with ur pov they don't care, this game like ♥♥♥♥,staff and Dev just want u to buy this game and got money then u got banned forever
Not worth the time or money. Horrible team in way over their heads with their priorities backwards. Bots and gold sellers run rampant. A small but loud group of people who payed lots of money in the kick starter heavily influence the often poor decisions made in a locked chat new players have no access to. The game hasn't had a single update in a month that hasn't been riddled with game breaking issues.
game started out fine-ish, now its a snooze fest. the xp curve is pretty steep but dont get me wrong, there are plenty of people to play with but dont expect them to utilize the xp bonus you can achieve cause its poorly explained how it works. also if you play how the game lets you. you're just banned for botting. so you have to play slower even if you got a fast pace build, with good aoe clear. additionally there is "new character restriction" bug that auto repeat itself, so if you're unlucky with that bug, you wont be able to chat in server chat, use guild banks, or use the auction house to pawn off stuff you get. and rather than fixing it, or even responding to support tickets, its just brushed under the rug along with all the other problems this game has. should the game find itself in a better state, ill change my review, till then, avoid this game and buy at your own caution.
This game is in my opinion, everything Ragnarok online could have been if gravity actually cared to make it better. It is an old school class based grinding mmorpg where you can use gear, cards, and refining to make builds that deviate from the cookie cutter way to play your class. The good 1. Progression to endgame is reasonably fast. 2. You obtain money passively by simply playing the game and killing mobs. 3. Gear is plentiful, and even low level gear has value, letting new players get into the auction house eco system early. 4. The community is very friendly. 5. The gameplay loop is intuitive to anyone who has previous experience playing mmo's, and easy enough to pick up for those who haven't. 6. This one is debatable as to whether its a good or a bad thing in my opinion, but you can freely move from each regions server without making a different character. so if you have friends in other regions, you don't have to make an entirely new character on a different server just to play with them. The Bad 1. There IS a bot problem in this game. It is being addressed aggressively. No doubt if you are reading this you have probably seen negative reviews talking about the number of bots in the game, and people talking about being unjustly banned. I can say with confidence that the bots are being handled, and the people complaining about the bans are the ones who got caught. 2. No serious PVP community on NA servers if thats your jam. 3. GVG is not yet implemented, but it is coming. if you're looking for a WoE experience from ragnarok, it isn't available yet. but it is on the way.
Market doesn't work. Trade doesn't work. Chat doesn't work. Constant server issues. This is what I get for buying a solo-dev MMORPG.
Great core game destroyed by terrible moderation, slow updates, and poor management. I wanted to love this game, and honestly, the game play itself had me hooked. I’ve put countless hours into grinding this title because I genuinely cared about its success, but the way the developers and moderation team treat their community is unacceptable. Here are the main reasons I cannot recommend this game: Abusive Discord & Community Moderation: The Discord server is an absolute toxic nightmare run by power-tripping mods. When you point out obvious bugs or try to give real, honest feedback about game-breaking issues, you get timed out or muted for being "disrespectful." Reporting bugs isn't disrespect—it's trying to help the game improve. Discriminatory and Unhelpful Support: GMs and support staff seem to completely ignore certain players. If your name looks Asian or you don't fit into their favored group, good luck getting any real help. The GM team consistently ignores legitimate player tickets and issues. Painfully Slow Updates: For a game that sold a huge number of copies, the development pace is an absolute joke. Basic, critical fixes take weeks. It took two whole weeks just to fix a broken Auction House, and another two weeks just to add basic AH filtering. Lack of Investment Back into the Game: This is in Early Access, but selling hundred K of copies should mean reinvesting that revenue to hire more developers or fix core coding problems. Instead, development feels sluggish, inefficient, and poorly coded. It's extremely disappointing because the foundation of the game had potential, but until the developers take community feedback seriously, stop letting mods silence players, and speed up basic bug fixes, stay away.
It's not recommended to play this game. There are only RMT players and bots left. The original players have all been false banned.
