The class balance in SpiritVale is poorly handled, and the way the developers are dealing with Weaver is a perfect example of the problem. SpiritVale is fundamentally a monster-farming and loot-grinding game, yet the maps are too small and there are far too few viable areas where players can efficiently farm monsters. As a result, everyone is forced into the same limited farming spots, competing for the same monsters. That is the real reason why kill-stealing and monster competition have become such a problem. Weaver just happens to be a class that can farm monsters more comfortably and efficiently than most other classes because of how its mechanics work. And frankly, I do not even think Weaver's current farming performance is excessive. In a game centered around killing large numbers of monsters for loot, this level of farming efficiency feels closer to what the normal standard should be. Instead of addressing the actual problem — maps being too small, too few viable farming locations, and too many players being forced into the same areas — the developers are trying to reduce Weaver's farming ability by nerfing its equipment. This makes very little sense. Weaver's main purpose is farming monsters. That is essentially what the class is built around. It already has little to no advantage in boss fights or tower climbing, and it is not a class that players normally prioritize when forming groups for difficult content. Even its farming strength is not completely free. If you want Weaver to farm efficiently and comfortably, you still need to invest in good equipment. Without proper gear, the class is nowhere near as smooth or effective as people make it sound. So if you nerf Weaver's equipment and take away its ability to farm efficiently, what exactly is left for the class? It has no real advantage in bossing. It has no real advantage in tower climbing. It is not a preferred class for group content. And now its one meaningful strength — farming — is being reduced as well. More importantly, nerfing Weaver will not actually solve the monster competition problem. If Weaver can take monsters more efficiently today, another class will simply become the best farming class tomorrow. Players will still be crowded into the same small number of farming areas, because the maps themselves have not changed. The problem is not that Weaver can "steal" monsters. The problem is that the maps are too small, there are too few good farming areas, and too many players are being forced to compete for the same monsters. As long as that fundamental problem remains, nerfing one class after another will never fix anything. It only destroys class identity while leaving the actual cause untouched.

As it is right now, I cannot recommend it. Pros: -Simple, easy griding game. -Decent paced character progression. -No inherent P2W, however there are plenty of bots and 3rd party sellers. -Character customization. Cons: -HIGH PING ON ALL SERVERS, monsters teleport and 1 shot you -Frequent disconnects - Spire is the ONLY endgame activity. No endgame groups for NA. Only on SEA server where you have to play 300ms Overall a good experience with frustrating times of lag. I would suggest waiting for the game to have some stability. My advice to the dev stop nerfing/buffing for now. Focus on SERVER STABILITY. the BASE.
Deep down, there is a good game, but it's currently plagued by too many problems. Botting is a huge issue, and the higher your level gets, the more obvious it becomes. When you have to farm on a small map with only four channels, good luck trying to get that one specific item you need. To make things even more frustrating, you can't simply buy the item because the Auction House is still unavailable. Speaking of that, I understand why a PTR exists. I'm all for testing updates before they reach the live servers. However, in my opinion, a PTR shouldn't be the place where major issues with core systems like the Auction House are discovered. That's what closed and open betas are for. Core systems of a game should be functional when you launch it, even if the game is still in Early Access. Without a wipe, bots will eventually dominate the market. The choice seems simple: either give version 1.0 a fresh start, or risk losing more and more real players. Speaking of real players, does anyone even communicate in this game?
Melee combat is like the worst I've ever seen in any game ever. Cast a spell? Stops auto attacking. Pick up items? Stops auto attacking. Move your character? Stops auto attacking. Actual slop game.
Game is not ready for release, after 2 weeks after the launch: -AH & Trade works poorly (you can't even search for a particular item substat and listings are limited). -Bots / Macroers / Exploiters are about 1/4 of the total population. -Bans seems to work manually, no anticheat system at the moment of this review. -Lag at most maps and channels (depends on the channel, map and population). -Constant server reboots / crashes.
If you dont have a life and dont want something back for your invested lifetime, then you can play this. If you search for an game that makes fun and its nice to lvl up and grindm then your totally in the wrong place with this game.... The only content this game offers is hard core and brain dead lvling for hours. its hack and slash, but its soooooooooo a bad hack and slash game, it dont even deserve to be called like that... you have to get lvl 50 if iam right, to get your class upgrade, before you have hours and days of pure horror to lvl up. 90% lvl bots and macro ppl, you dont find any good partys/groups, game is laggy as hell and servers are unstable like something else. overall i would say, go buy you some good pizza and something to drink, it is more worth it, than this game will ever be!
