Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

About
Species: Unknown is a first-person survival horror game, playable in co-op with up to 4 players (private or public servers) or solo. You play as a mercenary sent aboard an abandoned spaceship. Your job? Execute high-risk contracts, make it out alive, and claim your reward. But keep in mind that you’re not alone. Something is hunting you…
Form a squad of up to 4 players to take on different contracts with escalating difficulty. Each mission plays differently depending on your objective, your teammates, the map and which of the 5 intelligent threats is stalking you. No one survives alone, but you can try.

Proximity Chat & Radio are available: distance matters, walls matter. Proximity Chat is bringing more tension, sometimes chaos, and unforgettable moments to your co-op sessions.

Every contract drops you into a different nightmare. Whether you're tasked with extracting a black box, capturing or eliminating an unknown threat, or even destroying the ship to prevent the creature from escaping… Each mission demands a specific strategy and none of them are easy.
The specimen is chosen procedurally from a growing roster of terrifying monsters. Each one comes with distinct behaviors, hunting patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. You’ll need to investigate your surroundings to gather vital clues and identify the threat in order to proceed smoothly (or not). Do your job and get rewarded, or die without anyone knowing.

Strategize as a group, make smart use of your tools that can turn the tide, if only for a moment:
Motion Tracker : Detect nearby movement and prepare for what's coming
Shield : Block deadly attacks and buy time for your team
Health Syringe : Heal yourself or allies in the heat of battle
Mini-Map : Navigate pitch-black corridors with real-time positional data
Guns won’t always save you. Some threats are too resistant or simply untouchable. But the right weapon, found at the right time, can help you push through or even take the creature down.

The higher the risk, the higher the reward. Completing contracts earns you credits you can use to:
Upgrade your gear
Buy new tools
Customize your appearance
Gather lore and build your own creature museum
Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

Such a well designed game, awesome concept. BUT WHAT THE F**K ARE THESE MONSTERS? You follow the exact instructions to find their weaknesses (if you're lucky enough to make it to the command room to know what those are without dying first). And then every monster remains invincible no matter the weapon or weakness used. And you die in one hit. Please devs fix this BS - it's a great game but absolutely unplayable. Every one of my mates is so disappointed.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 18.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 19.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Way more polished than I was expecting. Sets an eerie tone well, and you're more involved in the gameplay like FOREWARNED, while clearing objectives through large scale maps like in GTFO.

idk how i feel about this game so i will rate the specimens (as of v0.24) and nicknames me and my friends gave em ID_005 ( terminator or clanker): design is good nothing special, drones suck and just wont leave you alone. we never survived it as of now. 4/10 ID_006 (the squid or mr squiggly dinks ): kinda easy to deal with, very easy to kill, cute little muncher of brains 7/10 ID_007 (shy guy or ♥♥♥♥♥ mc gee) easiest one to deal with just look down and run frantically and turn your mouse. if you fail? (insert virtual insanity meme). he is the second scariest when he does find you in my opinion. free ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ money tho. killing him is even easy and so is capturing. ID_008 (demon core or Mr lobotomy) insert war veteran meme 1/10 ID_009 (mike): kinda easy to deal with especially with stamina update. kinda hard to kill. easy to just distract him off your frie... GOOD LORD HE HAS A FAIL SAFE AGAINST THIS! 7/10 ID_010 (the scorpion): JAXON I TOLD YOU HE WAS IN THE VENT, WHY DID YOU WALK UNDER IT!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jaxon how do you get stung again! good lord did you get stung 3 times already? we just began!! easy one to kill, best design fr fr my pookie, i love the detail of the scorpion not spauwning when tier 1 weapons are restricted 8/10 when you upgrade your armor its changing the look and sound to be heavier, peak detail the puzzles are kinda boring tho, capturing and killing is the most fun missions. the game runs pretty good for unreal engine slop. i love the way you have to look at the body's to know which monster is around. the animations are good, the feel of walking doesn't feel floaty. we do keep body blocking each other....
Played 2 hrs, no errors, plays good, fun and has some fun tension. Not enough of content, but for the price and early access - fully supporting developers. Keep it up, love your work.
It should be a steam TOS violation to have games that cost money with so little content, early access or not. 1 map is pretty poor and the playerbase is small and kinda crap. The game is fun but as much deep as a kiddie pool
fantastic game.
