Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts

About
Species: Unknown is a first-person survival horror game, playable in co-op with up to 4 players (private or public servers) or solo. You play as a mercenary sent aboard an abandoned spaceship. Your job? Execute high-risk contracts, make it out alive, and claim your reward. But keep in mind that you’re not alone. Something is hunting you…
Form a squad of up to 4 players to take on different contracts with escalating difficulty. Each mission plays differently depending on your objective, your teammates, the map and which of the 5 intelligent threats is stalking you. No one survives alone, but you can try.

Proximity Chat & Radio are available: distance matters, walls matter. Proximity Chat is bringing more tension, sometimes chaos, and unforgettable moments to your co-op sessions.

Every contract drops you into a different nightmare. Whether you're tasked with extracting a black box, capturing or eliminating an unknown threat, or even destroying the ship to prevent the creature from escaping… Each mission demands a specific strategy and none of them are easy.
The specimen is chosen procedurally from a growing roster of terrifying monsters. Each one comes with distinct behaviors, hunting patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. You’ll need to investigate your surroundings to gather vital clues and identify the threat in order to proceed smoothly (or not). Do your job and get rewarded, or die without anyone knowing.

Strategize as a group, make smart use of your tools that can turn the tide, if only for a moment:
Motion Tracker : Detect nearby movement and prepare for what's coming
Shield : Block deadly attacks and buy time for your team
Health Syringe : Heal yourself or allies in the heat of battle
Mini-Map : Navigate pitch-black corridors with real-time positional data
Guns won’t always save you. Some threats are too resistant or simply untouchable. But the right weapon, found at the right time, can help you push through or even take the creature down.

The higher the risk, the higher the reward. Completing contracts earns you credits you can use to:
Upgrade your gear
Buy new tools
Customize your appearance
Gather lore and build your own creature museum

Reviews
Excellent, jeu avec ambiance à la alien isolation, jouable en coop, les spécimens ont une mécanique plutôt intelligente ce qui est rare, et il n'est même pas fini !
I'm not very far in, yet. But so far every mission has left me scrambling to the exit with my heart pounding. Each monster has felt very unique, and every one has made me panic at some point in the mission. Definitely enjoying it so far, and I'm unwilling to play with the lights out.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 18.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 19.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Really fun game, can't wait to see what they release next!
Literally one of the best horror games I've played, me and my friends having been screaming like little girls while playing. It's still in early access and runs super smooth and the future updates on release to console is going to be amazing. Love this game!
Understandably a little unoptimised and content-bare with only one map due to being in early access, but still a fun game to play with friends. The various mission types and creatures make the sole map surprisingly replayable with the right group. I haven't encountered any bugs in my time playing. Runs equally well on Windows & Linux with Proton Experimental. I get ~120fps epic & ~200fps low at 1440p with the attached specs.
Insanely good diamond in the rough for the overused 4 player co-op horror genre. Some call it friendslop but that would be insulting to how good this games mechanics are and how engaging it is to play. It's coded and optimized so well with the only problem i've ever had being rare framerate drops. Honestly probably the best game in its genre right now and considering how much that could be added right now that is impressive. I can't wait for the future of this game it is just outstanding. I honestly would willingly pay double the price it is. I think the only two thing worth noting if one was to buy it is that development seems to be slow, with it taking a year just for there to be a second map and 5 species. Despite this I have not found the game to be repetetive at all. Absolutely give this game a try I cannot recommend it enough.
I tried to play the game because it actually looked interesting. When the game started it was just a black screen and nothing to do.
This game is honestly really fun, 10 bucks take my money me and the homie love everything about this so far keep it up guys 110/10 would recommend to anyone
Its summer already, wheres the new map?
A really good game to play with friends. Chaotic, funny and scary. I hope one day they will add different cruisers/ships that we can go to for missions, just to have a variety of maps! I also wish it was up to 6 players, but other than that I love this game. I can't wait to see what future updates hold :)
