No meta-progression: which I knew going in but I'm disclosing it would be better with it. Got the ending in 3.2 hours - single playthrough. One-shot. There are some parts combinations that just make the game downright trivial - which is EXACTLY what we want in a game like this. The minesweeper element keeps the triviality from being too...trivial. So that's new, and I like it. You can't turn off your brain and left-click or what-have-you because the game will punish you for failures in the minesweeper element - which is nowhere near as difficult as, say, Microsoft's Minesweeper.
I never thought I could describe a game as "FTL x Minesweeper with inventory management", but that's what this is. Remarkably fun, and the gameplay is truly unique. I got it for like 8 bucks AUD, and it's so easy to get into a run and so fun to play that it's worth double that price.

According to the forums, no new features are planned. That's disappointing because this game is just short of being great, and it sucks to see something that's 95% of the way there basically abandoned because Steam fails to promote smaller games properly. I don't blame devs for not investing in a product that's effectively hidden to all but a small subset of users, it's just how this platform is. I just can't really say this is what people are expecting for the price. The inventory management is well done and seems balanced enough, but ultimately what kills it is the lack of start variety. Your ship is always a simple square shape, and you always start with the same items. This makes new runs very tedious to start, undermining replay value. Since this is structured like a meta-based rather than skill-based roguelite, it suffers further from a lack of metaprogression, deepening the feeling that every run is going to feel the same as all the others. Item and mechanic variety seems adequate but the previous factors make it a moot point because I don't have a third run in me.
Nice idea, poor realisation. Would give it thumbs up if there weren't a much better made mine-sweeper game - revolution, Had a potential, but released to earlier. But can be improved to become enjoyabel experience.
Nice little game with enjoyable gameplay. There are some issues that could be addressed to make the game even better:

Weapon design is broken. 1 energy weapons outscale more expensive shooters. Even the basic peashooter can outperform 15 energy legendary cannon with a few +5 damage modifiers. Maybe the +5 damage modifier could be changed to +20% base damage or something... Also weapons that increase in energy cost after using should be way more powerful, otherwise there is no point of using space for them.
Problem you are facing most of the time is that you don't have enough space. I think you should either get +4 space per level or adjust xp leveling scale. To balance it out you should get less items, less pickup options and worse item quality by default. Then you would add wider range of items that adjust the chances and pickup option quantity. Your common items could then be very clunky for space and as you approach legendary the same items could be just reduced to a more compact size.
2x xp gain weapon is too powerful. You can basically calculate it so that you can trigger it at all of the time. I think some +small % xp per enemy items could be fine but +100% from a 1 tile, 1 energy weapon is just not working. Also maybe add some items that adds energy after you kill enemy...
+5 heal option vs get items is just never worth picking... You are just more likely to roll some +10 or +25 hp item. Even if you do not, replacing some item or getting some high damage single use weapon will probably get you through the next battle more easily... It should either be much more make 10% total hp or maybe also get extra xp instead.
Minesweeper but the objective is to click the bombs instead of avoiding them. Upgrades are done backpack style where you have limited grid space which increases in size when you level up, after each battle you can choose to add items which vary in shape and size to your ship, stronger items being more rare. My personal opinion is that this game is too easy if you know the rules of minesweeper. In fair minesweeper games you can deduce every bomb from the numbers alone, and in unfair minesweeper games there are situations where you must guess. In a weird way this game is a unfair minesweeper game that's actually fair. The way the turns work make it so that the unfairness is completely removed by giving chances to guess at an unfair situation, making it do a 180 and turning the game fair. I actually believe its super forgiving and caters to a more casual minesweeper crowd. The game lets you guess more times that there are unfair moves. I cleared the story mode first try. This game should definitely implement some form of a timed run, if it wants to cater to people who will clear this game every time. Adding extra score to those who clear battles / mines faster. The game is fun though just don't expect a hard challenge if your well versed in clearing mines, on other side if you're new to minesweeper im sure youll have a blast.
There aren't a lot of games that use minesweeper mechanics like a rogelike. If you like minesweeper and peglin, you'll probably enjoy this game a good bit. It's not quite as polished as Peglin but it does scratch that itch for alternative roguelike games. It also has an inventory management system similar to backpack hero.
Great little game - love minesweeper. This is a great re imagining of a classic! FTL meets Minesweeper? Count me in :) Top tip, energy drainer (specifically ED2) and shields are amazing
Yeah, this is a solid little game for a fair price. Can have a lot of fun with this one. I would argue that there currently isn't that much content to explore, the descriptions of some items are incredibly confusing, and sometimes there is a lot of guessing, very little puzzle solving. But it's still possible to enjoy it and the future looks really bright if this continues to receive expansion updates, definitely worth a try but needs some love in the future.
The game lacks a bit of polish here and there, has very little content/variety, and the pace of a run is quite slow, but if you can handle that, this is a pretty good turn based minesweeper/inventory roguelike with a similar vibe to FTL. Not very challenging.
