Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Truly a loss when Strategy First bought out this developer only to kill one of the best strategy games out there because it was a threat to their game Gal Civ, we went from having true strategic and tactical combat to command to attack and watch pretty lights. I played this game so much even before I got it on steam and honestly wish they would bring games like this back. I love the different ways you could play this game, you wanted to be a true isolationist then that was possible in this game, you could easily be the race that was a aggressive swarm and anything in between. I really also loved the fact that if you where in a war that you couldn't win you could develop stealth technology and build a ship that could slip though their sensors and defense with a warhead that would make a star go super nova or even build a stealth mine layer along their attack routes to damage them before they get to your space. the game also got logistics right as well, your ships needed supplies to run and ordinance to fire it's weapons, with a logistics system, you couldn't wage war or defend your self. If this game ever came back as a real time instead of a turn base with updated easier to use UI and more features implemented I'd easily pay 100$ for it.

New buyers do not buy this unless your familiar with running in linux and the hassle this can include. Apparently runs well with Proton so should be simple to run on Linux, another good old windows game thats now a Linux only game. This game no longer works on latest windows 10 release. I also just tested the GOG version, and same issue. This seems to be a windows change thats killed the game, could be an AMD driver issue to (not tested on intel or nvidia yet) It has some kind of gpu driver/windows access issue that I've been unable to resolve. I used to play this on and off a few times each year but seems those days are now gone. Even admin/windows 8 compat/disable cleartype/DDrawCompat/adding missing folders. all fail to fix the issue. So although its possibly the best 4x game made, its also unplayable on modern platforms. I believe this will run ok on linux still but i need to keep windows for work reasons and cant be personally bothered with dual booting currently.
Very detailed, granular game - too much for me. If you love placing each component on each ship design (and hand-crafting all the upgrades) you will enjoy. Having spent several hours on the tutorial, I was determined to play a regular game through, to give the game a chance to grow on me, but in the end I was quite relieved when it crashed.
This game is dope. Its Space 4x games for smart people, or less pertentiously people that want a more grounded experience and like to role play
didn't expect to like this one as much as I do, still a lot to learn but I can see sinking a lot of hours into this is space empires 4 deluxe.
Amazing complexity of governing empire and fleet
Keeps saying error and wont start on my win 11(it says it will work on 10+). It used to work fine on my win10. Somebody said it was the last update?
平衡MOD都更新到2.7了,跟原版游戏简直是两个游戏,比群星好玩多了
Although this is an older game, I enjoy the turn base function of this game. While not as complex as some of the more modern games, I don't need or want complexity when playihg a game.
good game , replayable
