Music 10/10 Story 9/10 Combat 7/10 Definitely worth the price

The art and story are absolutely incredible. If you can get the game on sale even better, but Id pay full price to show my support. The gameplay is simple 3D platforming until you reach fighting arenas. The combat plays similar to the Jedi games, more like Fallen Order, kind of Souls-lite. It presented enough of a challenge for me to enjoy it, I loved the bosses, the boss fights could have been harder, but they were unique and fun for me. I wish there had been some villains during the platforming instead of just the arenas. All that being said however, its an amazing book of short Bayou folklore stories scattered across a video game. I LOVED it, but its not for everyone

Great visuals and soundtrack. Well voice acted. The complete action RPG package like Tomb Raider.

Gotta love this art, the animation, the music, the characters, the South… Everything is just majestic. This is such a wonderful choice of setting and such a treasure trove of folklore and mythical creatures. Devs clearly poured their hearts and souls when creating this game. And I am so much in love with the environment art especially. Oh, and the stop motion animation fits the style perfectly. They even managed to tell this age old tale of the kids growing up and running off from their parents in a way that is meaningful and not annoying.

Microsoft/Xbox games studios can suck it for shutting this company down for this GORGEOUS BEAUTIFUL love letter to the south. From the graphics to the music to the storytelling of trauma. All round. IMPECABLY DONE! We love. If this game doesn't get some sort of sequel, or this studio (Compulsion, not Microsoft) doesn't do something in the future I'll be sorely disappointed.

Good game at a decent price. The presentation is fantastic, the story is pretty good and the gameplay was just okay for me. The presentation: The faux stop motion aestetic works really well here. The music elevates the experience and I don't think there was a single moment where I didnt enjoy the soundtrack. The story is a good one. A teen trying to find her mother and coming into her powers. The seperate stories you run into when you run into on your journey are well done and intriguing. I like that it draws upon lore and mythos that doesn't see much play in games. The gameplay wasn't quite there for me. Platforming and exploring zones was nice enough, but combat is where things kinda fell short for me until I was nearly fully upgraded toward the end. Once again, this is overall a good game and I would recommend it to anyone.
