hell yeah folklore!!
I have so many things to say ab this game on the one hand i have loved and wanted a game with black mcs and cultural representation and folklore for so long, and getting to learn about my own peoples myths and legends via this games fairytale adventure approach was so cool and endearing. The game is also STUNNING. The landscapes are so masterfully crafted and the claymation artstyle is dripping with character and the developers love for their creation is so apparent. I also loved the gliding jump puzzles as a way to explore and just enjoy the ride of the game. BUT i do have to say i wish the game narratively had a bit more depth and bite. I am however fully acknowledging that i am an edgelord who loves sad stories and more melancholic tropes so this is biased. But i wish tht the games storytelling wasnt so kind of episodic monster of the week formatted, and had a richer more complex narrative weaving everything together, i do kind of feel like there were some plot holes and loose ends in the story too tht i wish were explored more like bunnys story being kind of the final puzzle piece i did appreciate tht maybe the game just wasnt for me in the way of it was supposed to be more light hearted fun storytelling. So maybe this just wasnt the game for me from this studio in tht way, but i would absolutely LOVE to see them make a darker gritter narrative using black southern gothic folkore. Overall i think the game is amazing and wellcrafted for what it is, i just kind of wish it was a bit less disney if that makes sense.

Es uno de los juegos mas hermosos e interesantes que existen. Tan bellamente diseñado, con escenarios de sueño y una historia tan original como profunda. Lo recomiendo por completo, ojala existieran mas juegos así de hermosos.

Really great game! The music, art style, and overall aesthetic are fantastic! I loved all the custom songs for each boss fight and really enjoyed the fast paced combat. I will say the formula of the storytelling got a little stale after 7-8 hours, but i'm very glad I stuck it out because it has a really nice ending. Very solid 8/10 for me!
Nice game! Great story line and just fun to play. Graphics are pretty good, but game got glitchy towards the end. Probably my computer, not sure.
I liked the narrative, Southern Gothic influences and inspirations, art, environments, and music. There was a lot of heart put into this game. It was beautiful to look at, experience, and exist in the world for a bit. Combat could use some improvement with the stiff movements and awkward camera angles, but you can lower the difficulty or adjust the settings to turn off combat and/or chase sequences among other preferences, which I appreciated. I played on my Steam Deck and lowered the frame rate. I didn't have any issues playing. If you like to explore different cultures, folklores, and stories in your video games and media, this is definitely one to play.
Great storyline with a unique cast of characters. That said, my favorite elements were the setting design and the MUSIC. The music was 10/10.
Fun game, excellent soundtrack, writing, and visuals. The combat is fine, tedious sometimes hmmm.
