Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 10 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

too much grind its not for everyone and thats okay played on hardest difficulty and cleared it with the perfect ending felt like a chore tbh most of the difficulty is artificialy induced, for example removing the option to use items
Soul Hackers 2 feels rushed under-cooked in almost every regard. The story is stretched paper thin, and the game time is padded to death due to difficulty spikes and ridiculously expensive upgrades that force grinding. The dungeons are vast hallways of emptiness, and what little unique designs exist are reused immediately. Don't waste your time with this unless you are out of other rpgs and it's on sale. The combat system seemed interesting on the surface but it's incredibly shallow. You start with no ability to swap demons in battle and each demon can only use 3 moves. Eventually you can be upgraded to allow swapping and up to 6 demon moves. You also end up with passive perks that end up funneling your party members into specific elements. Some of the passives can be used to fight more creatively, but its still not much. Saizo can be upgraded to have a chance of stunning enemies when he uses gun attacks. Ringo can have a chance of going twice. Milady can unlock a 0 sp almighty move that can restore sp. It's really not much. The most unique battle mechanic is the "sabbath" end of turn attack. You increase its power by hitting enemies weaknesses and then at the end of the turn it unleashes. But that's it. You have one unique mechanic at the cost of much better battle systems. There are 3 dungeons in the Axis that are all the same boring padded dungeons 5 dungeons in the real world and 3 of them are slightly altered versions of the others. The dungeons themselves are shockingly empty. The only thing you MIGHT see is your demons sitting around offering items or negotiations for other demons to join you. The game is pure grind. Grind to level up because every stat point matters. Grind to get money because EVERY upgrade is outrageously expensive. Probably my biggest problem with the game is the disappointing story. I can't explain it all without spoiling it. It started off fine and had one good small twist but then it keeps going and gets really dumb. The jrpg genre is typically known for its really good stories so I don't know who dropped the ball here. I do not recommend this game unless it's on sale and you're out of other rpgs to play.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

You could do much worse than this game, but you could also do much better than it. Being that this is an RPG by Atlus that takes all the pre-existing demons/personas from their prior games and puts them in a universe outside of Shin Megami Tensei and Persona, the usual brand of rock-paper-scissors combat you've come to enjoy from both of those series is on full display here. Relatively speaking, things are pretty much business as usual as far as the typical turn-based combat you'd expect in an Atlus title goes. Although the combat itself can start to get rather monotonous late into the game to the point where I think I used the 'fast battle' feature more in this game's final area than I've used a similar feature throughout the entirety of any other turn-based RPG I've ever played, the real problems lie within the game's dungeons. The games' dungeons suffer from the double-edged sword of its sporadic enemy spawn rate. It's essentially a somewhat less annoying version of the type of random enemy encounters you'd find in older Pokémon and Final Fantasy games. On one hand, the frequent enemies are great for the amount of level grinding and/or money farming you'll be doing. On the other hand, enemies constantly spawning around you every 5 seconds can get annoying, especially during your first time in a new dungeon when you're still in the process of trying to work out the correct ways to go in the narrow hallways of said dungeon that you haven't fully uncovered yet. The enemies don't even get highlighted on your map when they spawn. As you move throughout the game's various dungeons, their layouts get updated on your map. Once discovered, the map shows the locations of the portals you can travel between as well as the doors and staircases that lead to other areas. This all sounds good up until you realize that the map is incredibly bare-bones and nowhere near as helpful as it should be. You're pretty much on your own when it's time to comb through an area trying to find special enemies to defeat for requests because the game won't mark them on your map. Don't worry too much about it though. Requested enemies will most likely be too strong for you when you initially find them and by the time you go level up enough to fight them, the reward for defeating them might not even really be worth it anymore at that point. The game also doesn't mark the recon demons on your map either. Your recon demons that you find throughout the dungeons give you things when you talk to them that range from new demons to forge contracts with, key items needed to complete requests, items that unlock hangout events at the bar, and materials for weapon upgrades. Other than not being marked on the map, the recon demons are good and there's not much to complain about regarding them, though I do wish there was a more convenient way to check which materials to get from them and the enemies for your next batch of weapon upgrades without trying to commit things to memory and having to backtrack to the COMP Smith to get a reminder every time you forget. Despite not recommending this game, I don't want this review to come off as me discrediting all the time and effort that was spent to make it because it's clear that a lot of work went into creating it. All the pieces are there as far as the enjoyable characters and the interesting setting and story go, those pieces just don't quite fall into place like how you'd expect them to gameplay-wise. it's an otherwise perfectly tolerable 7/10 game that just has a few shortcomings that drag it down to a 6/10 at times. I probably would've excused those shortcomings had this game been something that came out around a decade prior to its release date, but in a world where the same developer has put out much better games beforehand (Persona 5 Royal) and much better games afterward (Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: Refantazio), this is quite a letdown. Get this game by all means if you're truly curious about it and have prior experience with some of Atlus' other RPGs, just go into this one with your expectations lowered and wait for a decent price drop like I did before purchasing it. Trust me, no matter how good you think it is, it ain't good enough for the price to be that close to triple digits.

I've been playing through Atlus games on steam and after really loving SMT 5, Metaphor Refantazio and Persona I decided to try this game out. I'm only about 4 hours in but I can already tell this game is just not good, you can see the lack of effort/budget in pretty much every area of this game from the way character relationships work to the areas you can visit and even the dungeons are so far repetitive and lacklustre. The only real enjoyment i've gotten out of this game is the main character Ringo, she's cool and I like her design, and the fact you can use the SMT demons in it and do fusions which is always fun. Overall, i'd stay away from this game or only buy if you can get it for less than like £10.
I am about three hours into this game, maybe because I just started but I like it. Not sure what the negative reviews are but so far it's a good game. The dungeon map is small and the way Ringo moves in it, is a little weird but other than that, I am having fun. Maybe the review will change once I am further in the game.
