Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best BR #81, worst UK #87 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.86/day in the week to Aug 14 → 8.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The fact that my play-time is overstated by around 18 hours is symptomatic of the executable(s) failing to terminate correctly. Quite why Sega packaged Sonic Generations in its own executable is beyond me, and the two apparently don't talk to each other very well... And quite why Sega doesn't recognise dpad inputs as well as stick inputs in-game is unfathomable (Steam Input is your friend). Sonic Generations is... fine at best, but generally not very good. The level design just feels like it gets in the way so much. It does get pretty annoying in places, especially on a first look at a level. But it's never so bad as to be rage-quit inducing. It's just not that fun. Shadow Generations has much higher highs. Especially early doors, the game is much more fluid and intuitive to play. But later in the game, Shadow's power-ups are trotted out in tedious navigation challenges that are just pretty dull, and the levels become split-second-reaction drills to see if you remembered the controls for your new power a split second after seeing *something* pop up on screen. Fortunately, there's no real consequence for death. And the bosses have checkpoints, which is always good of what would otherwise be rubbish Sonic bosses. The open world is... okay, but after scratching the surface of what there is to explore you realise there's not much there. There's collectables and Big the Cat is there bit it's a bit of a snooze after a while. The music is perfectly cromulent - it does its job whilst being unobtrusive and unmemorable. Graphically, both games look great. I had a little stuttering at times during Shadow cutscene, but otherwise they ran well enough The price is where this game goes quite badly awry. I beat both campaigns in a very leisurely 12 hours. Very leisurely. A £44.99 price tag for a compilation of a pretty mediocre game and an okay game that only last 12 hours is very steep. I paid £22.49 and felt like I'd been stung. I'd have been happier had I spent £15. So if there's a really deep discount, I'd say "fill yer boots".But until then you're best of waiting - you're not missing out on that much.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The Chosen One - Ultimate Lifeform
Two awesome games in one, yeah, what can you say, just look at the reviews. And when the discount drops, ooh la la. They are very polished and all and I really like them, but I have a personal gripe with them - most of the time it's too easy to take the best route in most of the levels, unless you are using speedrun techniques. Yeah, they are just easier than some of the Sonic games - so it depends on the player. Also, they are not that fullfilling to finish like some of the other Sonic games - small stories, underwhelming endings (Sonic portion of the game - the last level is not very epic and the final boss is just meh) (Shadow portion - the theme of the final level act 1 and very boring credits) And, of course - they don't have that much of their own personality, it's a celebration of the previous games reusing the themes and music. You can always argue that classic Sonic does not control like the classics and it's means it's bad - well, the levels are designed with the different control in mind, so it's fiiiine. Disappointing I guess, but fine. For me the stupid thing is that classic gets the drop dash in this version as a skill, and modern have it all the time. Come oooon, i want to use it when speedrunning in the leaderboards... On the other hand, it's a little too weak for classic. Still useful tho! So yeah, it's not that replayable for me like other games. I think it can be a good starting point for newcomers, but at the same time... references, small stories based on previous adventures... idk... Okay, so is the version of Sonic Generations better here, or is the previous PC version the preferable way to play? You can argue all you want, but for me it's clear - this version just works out of the box, and that's what counts in the end. It has many PC oversights fixed, like missing sound effects for quick stepping, misalligned effects, some glitches fixed... It has crispy 4K cutscenes now, and it's great! It has proper bloom working! The most important thing about this version: You don't have to jump around the old launcher to just work, and it doesn't change it's mood when changing monitors. It supports hot plug for controllers, it has now 3 slots for saving the game, which is AWESOME. You can change the graphic settings in the game, come oooon, this version clears. It's not perfect tho. The OG version has great modding community, so yeah, if you are a Sonic fan - you have the old version already, let's be fair. If not - you can buy it in the Steam bundle. Sucks. They re-recorded the voice lines and changed the dialogues for some reason. Personally - it's just a liiiiitle bit jarring sometimes, but this game had barely any story, so it's fine. The Metal Sonic boss fight has mixed up music - now it doesn't sync with the cutscene, because it plays the version with short intro, and when you die - it plays the version with the cutscene intro. It's such an easy fix and they didn't patch it up, come oooon When using any monitor with more than 60 Hz the frame pacing is broken in Sonic Generations and the loading times for some reason are very long - cap it to 60 FPS in your Nvidias, AMDs, RTSSs or something. Shadow Generations can be played at 120 FPS, it's a life changer tbh. Also pro-tip for EVERY SONIC GAME and some other games - force in your graphic card program Anisotropic filtering to 16x. The textures will look MUUUUUCH BETTER. It pisses me off every time when the game doesn't have that option. On Steam deck - make a dxvk.conf file in the directory of the game and paste this in it: d3d11.samplerAnisotropy = 16 d3d9.samplerAnisotropy = 16 The screen is smaller, so it doesn't look that bad without it, but you can't unsee it after changing this setting. Okay, so for the MODS: Biolizard Dialogue Order Fix Fixed Aspect Ratios Biolizard OST Version (it has a cool intro and LYRICS) Higher Quality TAA (optional) Higher Quality Boost Motion Blur (optional) There is a mod for changed music for the credits, but it breaks the Biolizard music Codes: Smooth Camera Fix Grind Step Magnetism (kinda whatever, but looks smoother. Some PCs now have a little stuttering when changing rails, probably because of Denuvo. The fix is to disable the hyper threading in bios or downgrading the version, but I don't think it's worth it. Shoutout to dreamsyntax) Force 4K Video Playback And, of course, for the Sonic Generations: Fixed Metal Sonic Intro also, white space version of Knuckles doens't have a mouth in this version lmao, I never noticed that. You can't fix it with any mod right now unfortunately
fun
The game ran like ♥♥♥♥. It was fine for a few minutes but then after a while I would be getting in the 5 fps range. 0/10 unplayable, Denuvo needs to die.
I'm only recommending this game if you don't already have Sonic Generations. Sonic X Shadow is a poor DLC that Sega forced us to buy at full price even if you already have the base game. While the original Generations remains my favorite Sonic game ever, the new levels are Meh even by modern sonic standards. I found myself asking "what am I supposed to do?" and "where do I go?" way too often. The devs combined precision with RNG way too much (more than zero). Which is extra terrible with how poorly Shadow controls. The jumps are too floaty. Momentum changes in ways that don't make sense, and are inconsistent. I played the original Generations after completing the Shadow levels. It's still the amazing game I remember. It's absurd that Sega got Shadow so wrong when they already had the Sonic template so perfect. Don't waste your time or money getting Shadow Generations if you already have the original. If you don't own the original then get it for Sonic. The Shadow DLC is piss poor. Almost Sonic 06 Bad.
muy buen juego, se pone 10 de 10 cuando aparecen Rouge
