Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the bosses are nothing but waiting and its filled with insta-kills (also cutscenes de-selecting super forms is pure ass) play mania or origins instead
Contrary to what has been said prior, I really do think this game recaptures the classic vibes from the franchise. It does not aim to recreate the feels of sonic 2 and 3, aiming instead for the design philosophy sonic 1 and cd. They nailed the platforming and the special powers, while not being a necessary addition, are fun to use. Most levels are in fact great, with the only downside being the bosses being way too long (although they are not as bad as Sonic Rush'). They were designed with multiplayer in mind, so that 4 player would not melt their health, but they tend to get annoying in solo play. I did not try the multiplayer mode and did not pay full price (60 bucks is certainly overpriced). For me, this game is an 8/10. Definitely go for it if there's a sale and you liked sonic 1 and cd.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Sonic Superstars is a really fun game and a great time if you're looking for a classic Sonic experience with a modern look. The levels are colorful, the gameplay is fast, and it's easy to pick up and enjoy. That said, co-op is absolute chaos. I honestly don't feel like the game was designed that well for multiplayer. Sonic games are already fast, and once you throw multiple players into the mix, it becomes really difficult to keep track of what's happening. Half the time you're just trying to find your own character while constantly getting teleported because the player in front is moving too fast. It's hilarious, but definitely not the best co-op experience. The game is also pretty short, which is a bit disappointing. I genuinely wish there were more levels because I was having a great time. One thing that made me laugh was that it honestly felt like the credits lasted longer than some of the boss fights. A few bosses ended so quickly that I barely had time to enjoy them before they were over. Despite those issues, Sonic Superstars is still extremely fun to play. Whether you're playing solo or embracing the chaos with friends, it's a game that can give you plenty of laughs and a good time. It may not be my favorite Sonic game, but it's definitely one I'd recommend to anyone looking for a fun platformer.
It has a lot of cool stages.
why tf is there no checkpoint for the last boss's 2nd phase this ♥♥♥♥ so ass vro
I have had the game running for several days trying to beat the final boss. Way too many segments without giving you any rings. I have been trying the final boss for longer than it took to play the entire game up to this point
If you're like me, one of those people who thinks the Sonic fanbase is impossible to please and enjoy most of the games then you'll probably like this one, because it really is just another one of those. The game's good. The bosses are good. The music is good. I don't know about the multiplayer since I'm playing it solo. My one complaint is the price. This is not $60 worth of game. There are only 12 zones and some of them are only a single act long. I got it on sale and that is what I suggest others do. It is a good game, but there just isn't $60 worth of content in it. I got it for $20 and I'd honestly say that's fair.
Quite glad I did not buy this game for full price on day one. If you have played Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic 3&K, Sonic Mania, or any of the Sonic Advance games, this game will certainly be a step down. If you have played Sonic 4 or then it will certainly be a step up. Don't expect a masterpiece and you might find some fun in it. It definitely needed a lot more time in the oven with the handling, physics, level design, progression, and boss encounters. My assumption is that this is what Sonic Mania 2 was slated to be since the game feels like a heavily remixed version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic Mania, and Knuckles' Chaotix. Hopefully they make another classic Sonic game since this is the first attempt from SEGA at classic Sonic since Sonic 4 and it is arguably better than Sonic 4. Just not quite the same level of intricate design as say Sonic 3 & Knuckles or Sonic Mania.
