Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.14/day in the week to Aug 14 → 6.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Sonic boss fight goes hard!!! Peak game and soundtrack!!!
es bello el puto juego
super great game
Sonic Frontiers is an excellent action-adventure game with platformer and RPG elements that seeks to reinvent 3D Sonic gameplay. It still has the boost formula, but the formula has gone through a massive overhaul to where it functions more like a sprint button. You're no longer invincible as you boost and you go somewhat slower compared to past boost formula games. Frontiers also introduces the open zone gameplay, where you explore the Starfall Islands, which are chock full of enemies to fight, hidden items and pathways to discover and puzzles to solve. Along with that are various platforms, rails and speed boosters that work as obstacle courses to achieve memory tokens scattered across the islands. What I enjoy the most out of the open zone gameplay is the freedom of movement Sonic has, along with the combat and exploration that comes with it. Exploring the islands and unlocking moves in Sonic's skill tree in order to fight against various enemies is exactly the kind of action-adventure experience that can truly evolve Sonic from his platformer roots. I find it addicting to explore the islands, solving various puzzles and fighting various enemies in order to collect XP and level up Sonic's various attributes like attack power, defense, ring capacity and speed. A major issue I have with Frontiers comes down to Sonic Team's hesitancy to follow through on their experimentation. The floating platforms, rails, springs and speed boosters tend to detract from the open zone gameplay since these assets clash with the island design itself. This design choice further is a problem when Sonic's freedom of movement can render a lot of the platforming sections as pointless since skilled usage of the boost and timed jumps can easily allow you to collect memory tokens without needing to go through much of the obstacle courses. They might as well should not even exist because of that. It's the same issue with Amy, Tails and Knuckles as well when you play as them in the Final Horizon DLC. How I think the open zone gameplay should've been implemented was the gameplay strictly focusing on the combat system, puzzle-solving and exploration. Without the random obstacle courses, the focus could've now been on controlling the characters in a full 3D environment and exploring the islands and uncovering the secrets and mysteries of an extinct and forgotten civilization that experienced an apocalypse. Another issue I have is how the combat system could've been fleshed out more. I think Sonic could've used a lot more moves, since I can easily unlock most of his moves before reaching Ares Island. The enemies also need more variety and to give better incentive with utilizing Sonic's various moves. There should be a ranking system, as you perform combos, that awards you more XP and incentivizes you to perform combos with Sonic and avoid taking damage as you're engaging in combat. Another aspect of Frontiers' gameplay is the cyberspace levels, which essentially encapsulate Sonic's platforming roots. The stages are based off of various level design in past Sonic games like Adventure 2, Unleashed and Generations while others are original levels. The only level themes behind the level design though are Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Sky Sanctuary and Eternal Highway. Once more, the nostalgia pandering rears its ugly head and asset recycling is very abundant in these levels. I personally enjoy the levels because of Sonic's new control, but overall, I can easily do without them. I find them to be the weakest part of Frontiers and it also doesn't help that the platforming sections are already abundant in the open zone gameplay, so it mostly comes off as redundant and shows how Sonic Team wants to dip their toe in when it comes to experimentation with the action-adventure genre while still wanting to stick with the familiar out of fear of Frontiers not "feeling like a Sonic game". Now that Frontiers is a massive commercial success, I want Sonic Team to be more confident in completing Sonic's gameplay evolution into the action-adventure genre. Overall though, Frontiers remains as one of my top favorite 3D Sonic games and I'm excited to see what Sonic Team has in store for the next 3D Sonic title. The music, story and characterizations were all enjoyable to me, but I hope Sonic Team improves on the pop-in and stiff animation that plagues Frontiers' presentation across all platforms. Despite my many complaints about the game and its design, it's a 3D Sonic title I constantly go back to and replay.
