Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.29/day in the week to Aug 14 → 6.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Best story game of all time
Sonic Adventure 2 was my childhood game growing up. The Wii I had was able to play Gamecube games and I remember coming home from school every day, turning on the Wii and playing this nonstop. I always spent most of my time in the Chao Garden LOL. I'm so glad this game is on Steam now so I can finally replay it.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 9: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Childhood me fell in love with this game all the way back on the Gamecube, and I'm still in love with SA2 as an adult. Seriously we almost had it again with 06 but SEGA as always has to kick us in the balls with over ambition (secret rings). Not to get off topic however I'm still yearning for the day SEGA takes their heads out of their asses and returns to the proper way sonic should have always been, FREE, DYNAMIC, FAST, and ENDLESSLY FUN, as you style your way to the end goal as fast as possible. Various playstyles and game modes for you to enjoy by yourself or challenge your friends to prove who's truly the ultimate hedgehog (it's shadow).
I played this game for hundreds of hours as a young lad. Most of it in the Chao Garden, which is the only reason I play today. I don't know if it's the time gap from when I last played, the difference in controllers (GCN vs Xbox X/S), or porting issues, but personally I feel like this is buggier. On the GCN it could be challenging to line a jump up onto a rail, but I feel like it's much more difficult now. Regardless, I'm here for the Chao Garden, and I knew which levels I need to farm and I am good at farming.
I wanna name my chao nipples
This is a good game, but a lot of it also sucks. The story is good, and the speed levels are good. However, it's a little overrated. The story is great though and this gave us Shadow the Hedgehog, the GOAT, so I recommend. HOWEVER, use mods, or else you're gonna have a terrible experience with some of the worst treasure hunting segments in the game. Not the best sonic game, but it's fine enough.
