the games controls were weird at first but you get used to them i love this game

the story is iconic, but people need to stop glazing SA2. this game sucks in terms of gameplay, and i'm tired of pretending that it doesn't. however, i love the chao garden, and i pray before every new game that we will get another. long live the chao.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love older sonic games, its the only sonic games I'm actually interested in. Do. NOT. buy this. I had this damn train stuck on the top of my screen the entire time, I couldn't use ANY abilities, it was a buggy mess and I would constantly clip through walls. The menu was a actual horror show, I couldn't do anything but resume no matter what I clicked on the pause menu. It tells you what no keys are, and then tells you to do a ability I can't even find no matter what key I press It has 0 controller support, which I thought would fix this issue.

The mechanics in this game are very, very bad. I know it's an old game, but it had to be awful then as well.

Sonic stages are good, Shadow stages are good. Other Hero stages suck, Other Dark stages are tolerable. Sonic and Shadow, though the stages are designed well, do not feel as fun to play as compared to Adventure 1, the only improvement is to the Light Dash. Kunckles and Rouge play fine but the stage design can be confusing and treasure hunting feels like running in circles Tails and Eggman are fine, stages feel too long but their gimmick is gimmicky and the stage design is fine That all being said, the story of this game is still great if you see it in the perspective that this was going to be the last sonic game we would ever see. Many factors of this game make the story unrecognisable, which the series will never recover from. But that is not this game's fault. If you are interested in the story, you should definitely play it as it's the best in the whole series. But if you want to play a Sonic game this is not your best pick
