About
Solar Wave is a grand-scale space strategy game with indirect control, where economy, war, and expansion unfold across entire galaxies. The 21st millennium. Humanity’s Solar Empire has conquered the Milky Way and now turns its gaze toward a neighboring galaxy. New worlds are already inhabited but that will not halt mankind’s relentless expansion. As an imperial governor, you shape the fate of colonies, command vast fleets, and decide the outcome of wars that span the cosmos.
Make decisions on a galactic scale. Explore star systems, expand imperial borders, seize strategic territories, and plan for the long term. Solar Wave blends classic 4X foundations with a living, ever-changing universe.
There is no micromanagement here. You set objectives, not individual orders. Fleets act independently, adapting to threats and opportunities as they arise, turning command into pure strategy rather than mechanical execution.
A deep, interconnected economic model stands at the heart of the empire. Colonies extract resources, build production chains, and supply the war effort. Strong logistics and industry are the true weapons behind every victorious fleet.
Space warfare in Solar Wave is massive and unforgiving. Thousands of ships clash in spectacular battles where preparation matters more than reflexes. Victory is forged long before the first shots are fired.
Grand strategy with indirect control and no exhausting micromanagement
A living economy that directly fuels war and expansion
Massive space battles featuring thousands of ships
Striking visuals inspired by dark space opera
An atmospheric, memorable soundtrack
Take your place in humanity’s relentless march across the stars and experience the uncompromising future of the 21st millennium in Solar Wave.

I'm leaving positive as I hope it'll motivate devs to continue working on the game. So far I enjoy it, I really love the lore here, overall gameplay is fun and engaging. BUT. Balancing is top tier awful. I'm not talking about the 1st mission like others, I'm talking about the whole rest of the game. How it works - most of the missions have a timer (it says 8 years and counting down). All the way through early and mid game it's all easy and dandy, but then 1 year remains and the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sector is like "aight hon, gotta go kill some imperials, brb" and you get wave after wave AFTER WAVE aFtEr wAvE of enemies. And the kicker is it's not so easy to prepare for it even if you know how this mechanic works. Early game money is so hard to get and you need to colonize the f*ck out of the planets to get your population to 20k when you start getting around 1 money/sec. BUT then you also need to invest in logistic so all your stations and planets doesn't starve. And only then you can fully focus on military, forges etc. Dunno, maybe it's a skill issue on my part, but IMO we need balancing, trade guild should offer more ships or maybe we could get a special building to produce food in sectors, as food is probably the biggest cockblock after the money To the above, and I hope dev sees it - the mission where you need to build trade guilds and colonize food planets, the objective is to build 8 trade guilds and colonize 5 planets? Something like this. But I needed 15 or so trade guilds just to stop getting starve messages on my other stations But hey, overall I enjoy it, I'm unemployed now so I'm gonna play some more and I hope more updates show up quickly

Balancing is awful, beyond (and even at) the first level you enemies will absolutely ravage you. Very difficult game. No way to expand to collect extra science in the maps to make the next levels a little easier. You're very confined to set areas of expansion. This game needs alot of balancing. Could be very enjoyable in the future.
I couldn’t make it through the tutorial — hostile aliens got me. But the game hooked me anyway, and I think I’ve got the hang of it now, so I’m definitely giving it another shot. Whenever you catch yourself thinking something like, “Okay, but how do I check the balance of power here?”, the answer is usually right there on the screen almost immediately, even if the tutorial never explicitly explained it. The gameplay is really engaging, the music is super atmospheric, and there’s a constant sense of tension. Overall, it feels like the game isn’t going to hold your hand too much — even though the core mechanics are explained and pretty much every UI element has a tooltip. The game doesn’t fully explain how you’re supposed to play it, and honestly, I kinda like that. Part of the fun for me is figuring out how the different mechanics interact with each other on my own. I really enjoyed the mechanics right from the start. Hopefully the story picks up from here and the late-game mechanics are just as interesting to uncover.
Great game, easy to learn and not too bad by throwing you a challenge. Pros! - Clearly made with a elegant balance of resource building, contructing the right stations and ensuring you have a steady and peaceful back yard while expanding. - Stations use resources to manage either supplying manufactured goods or boons to you. - Planets are bread and butter from the get go and are very useful. However a trade off at times is destroying them so it gives you choices that might affect you in the long term. - Automations: supply lines, combat, patrols, exploration, logistics (local and between systems) and armaments are all done as background actions. You can see it, direct it by force or let it flow. More bonuses you give yourself the better, armour, research or filling out fleets with ships have in system and automatically done - UI is very friendly, descriptive and simple. No complicated menus or huge leaps. Easy to navigate as well. Kids can play this no problem - The story has a very obvious and clear inspiration from a booming franchise so understanding the way 'society' works is easy (not that is really is a big thing but you'll see) - Consistent Campaign, so far it seems 'levelled' campaign but not starting from scratch, You build up your tech and developments and carry them over to the next stage. Simple but mindful aspect of the game Cons! - I would like to see a couple of options for the Stations. Particularly with hiring captains. As I am expanding slowly I do find that early on I am not select all stations to minimize expenditures. It would be nice to have a short cut for all stations or the select few to quickly stop them from expanding just yet. Like an Umbrella button, so that I dont need to select each station back on again - Total Resources stored, I can't find a way to check how much I have in total and to see if I can just expand and build up stock before expanding. Stations and Planets require a couple of things and if I can see what I already have then I know expanding be fine. - Supply Lines, it isn't really a con as I have already figured out a ridiculous way of easing a steady line by mass producing Trade Guild Stations (these send resources to other systems) but I wondered if I could track the efficiency of my supply lines by both local and system wide. All in the end this is actually a fun simple game you can actually relax in. So far my experience with the game is no rushing, take your time and slowly learn the game. Graphics are soft and bright, menus are simple and informative, empire building made simple, however the real fun begins when introduced to other resources and suppling Stations or Planets with their needs from pop growth or manufacturing to help upgrade or benefit fleets or planets. The Developer/s should really be proud of themselves as this game really is a nice game. They aren't pushing too far in their focus and going off track, keeping inline of the goals and I haven't had any bugs. Wishing the best for their product!
Think the old game Majesty (from the 2000s), but in space. Since there is not much graphically going on, the game currently has NO graphic settings to adjust. The first level/tutorial is killer. expect to last 10mins the first couple of time. to do better, do what it tells you as fast as possible. Then as time and points allow expand. Since i have not/cannot get very far, it seems like there a lot there but it hard to say. Will definitely spend more time trying to conquer it.
