About
In Solar Expanse, you take the lead of one of the early XXI century space exploration companies. Your goal will be to reach the planets, moons and asteroids of the system in order to mine and colonize them.
Optimize the costs and schedule of the flights. Mind that each object is in constant motion, so exact planning is crucial. Utilize the gravity effects and slingshot your rockets further beyond.
There is a multitude of objects in the asteroid belt alone. Some are made of water, others might contain precious metals. Deploy various telescopes, arrays and probes to know the system better and plan your next flights. Scan for the most profitable and useful materials. Research new technologies
Send your rockets and deliver the asteroids to Earth or colonies. Gain the profits to expand your corporation and start the projects on much larger scale.
In time, you will get contracts to establish permanent bases on various objects. Build fuel stations, launch sites, space catapults, elevators and entire colonies!
Your ultimate goal will be to make the moons and planets of different systems habitable. This task will take centuries, enormous resources, technologies and thousands of rocket flights. Drop the water asteroids from the asteroid belt on Mars. Mine Io and Titan for necessary resources.
Once you are done with the Solar System, build an interstellar ship. Once the game is fully released, you'll be able to venture into real and generated systems, such as Alpha & Proxima, Centauri, Trappist, Gliese & Kepler… you name them!

Was really interested in this one, but held off due to the use of AI generated art - however, I'm really pleased to see that in one of the patch-notes, that art was removed and replaced with human-authored art. So, gave it a shot - and... yeah. This is pretty good for what it is, letting you run a space program. Worth wishlisting for sure - I think this will be most interesting to most players once it's more complete, but space-fanatics are going to find fun here. Hoping the last of the AI is removed with a fully-human authored set of translations and localizations, so non-English gamers can get a good experience (games I've played that were machine-translated into English have universally been janky, writing-wise, so I expect the same is true for other languages).
Fiz uma tradução decente para o GAME, está no NEXUS!

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.29/day in the week to Aug 2 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is basically crack for anyone who is either: A. Has the particular "Logistics Management" flavor of autism, or B. Is on Adderall. As someone who checks both A and B, this game is one that absolutely consumes me. Dual monitor setup? Check. Google Sheets open in one window? Check. Understanding of orbital mechanics and what Delta-V means? Check. Used to play Kerbal Space Program with the Kolonization and KSP-Interstellar Mods, and used Mechjeb to get rid of the pesky "flying" part? Check Colonization Calculators pulled up in alternate tabs on my second monitor for easy mission planning? Check. CAPCOM confirms: All systems go for an all night gaming binge. This game isn't for the faint of heart. I've noticed that there is a very specific flavor of brain that likes Solar Expanse. It tends to be the same flavor that really likes trains... and Paradox Interactive games, oh, and Terra Invicta. The best way to describe this game would be Terra Invicta (another niche title, I am aware) but really just want to sit back and chill without having to worry about doing silly things like building space warships to compete with the constantly scaling Alien fleets. Your "opponents" aren't really "opponents" at all. There aren't any territories on the planets to claim. No colonization sites that the AI players can take to lock you out of specific resources. Sure, they might be able to mine things out faster, but the resources of the solar system are basically limitless (once you get to asteroid capture tech, I actually think they are... as you crash asteroids into planets to add their resources to said planet, new asteroids seem to continue spawning). You're not there to conquer the solar system: You are there to further humanity's reach into space. Your "opponents" are really just other space programs trying to get their own toeholds in the cosmos, and, frankly, cooperation with them (through trade) is actually the primary way to make money in the game. If you're like me, or Perun, give this game a shot. The UI can take some... learning, but I've frankly seen worse in main line titles (Stellaris 1.0, I'm glaring at you). Just understand that it's a game that rewards you for understanding its systems. Oh, and also, go check out the Logistics mod on the Solar Expanse Discord. If you've ever used Minecraft mods like LogisticsCraft or Applied Energistics, it will make total sense pretty much immediately. If you haven't, it allows you to set supply locations (with minimum amounts to keep in inventory) demand locations, and assign spacecraft to carry out those missions. It's a very helpful mod in the mid game when you can't just yet around asteroids into new orbits, or order a fusion powered spacecraft to delivery a (literal) kiloton of X resource from earth to Mars in a week.
For the average gamer, I can't recommend the game yet. Not yet. I say wait until the game is refined a bit more. If that means v1.0, then so be it. Right now it takes a special kind of player. Maybe that's you.
It is a decent game for any Early Access title if you enjoy management games, especially if you want to roleplay a Space Agency (without the direct flying experience of KSP). The Good (in brief): - I did not experience any bugs - The concept is solid, and basic mechanics work fine - There is a clear roadmap The Not as Good (needs improvement): - No contract flexibility (cannot choose contracts, all contracts are the same each game in the same order) - Cannot transfer resources in decimal places, yet they will be consumed to decimal places (drives my OCD crazy) - No loans (yet), so early game rush strategies will go bankrupt way too easy It is my hope the developers take the feedback seriously. I will plan to revisit the title upon its release to see what has changed, and whether its issues have been settled.
I'm this games target audience, I have hundreds of hours in both stellaris and KSP. So safe to say a semi realistic sci-fi empire building game is the definition of up my ally. And that's what this game is, you colonize and terraform the solar system, and while it could use some better game to player communication and some quality of life features the core of the game is great.
Game is absolutely great in its current state, you can easily get 40+ hours from it right now. The only issues are QOL things, UI stuff that isn’t clear enough or isn’t that great at all, minor camera bugs, nothing that can’t be solved by a mod or patch. Game can be quite challenging on the first runs, but once you understand the loop and how not to go bankrupt, the liberty the game offers is very good. You can remove every single drop of water on Earth, or completely remove its atmosphere, you can also make it boil to create a living hell on Earth. Or even terraform Venus or any other body in the solar system to make it match Earth-like survivability and install a long-term colony. Liberty is yours once you are financially self-sufficient. Replayability will come from new solar systems, which are already planned, and mods, which some are already there and are great and fixes some issues.
great game if your like collony management factory types like i dunno satisfactory, rimworld then great for you cause it is pretty good for me and runs fairly well only rare stutters though it does sometimes crash upon pressing exit to windows though only seems to do this with more hefty save files but works great otherwise just save manually before leaving to windows
