¡Beyblade! ¡Let it rip!
tl;dr: One run can take you from 15-30 minutes if successful but you'll probably lose some runs in the beginning. Very enjoyable "vibes" and clever solution for parts as perks that can be swapped out in between fights to adjust based on circumstances like your level/exp bar or even day or night time. The somewhat short: -Nice and own artstyle -Some very nice music tracks from different genres -Interesting physics that certainly give each run a certain uniqueness in control-behaviour of your slayblade depending on parts and attributes attached -replayability through modifiers for a run such as "bigger blades" or "smaller arenas" and other, very cool things too! This is a bite-sized roguelite that just brings back the childhood memories from battling our little metal spinning deathmachines. What our childhood fantasy made us belive our blades might have been equipped with, this game actually utilizes that as its mechanic as a roguelite quite cleverly. You don just "stick" to your bought/found parts (which are essentially your perks combined with attributes on them) but you can actually use them to your adventage by swapping the parts out in between each fight. Your main goal is to win the "tournament" and a run itself can go as long as maximum 20 days ingame which equals somewhat to a 3 fights per day = 60 fights in total-ish run. My first completion was around 6 days though. Instead of you having hourlong runs this game rather focusses on bitesize-length and variation throughout run-changing, global modifiers that you choose before your runs. There's even presets of modifiers combined that you unlock and can simply select those too. From all across smaller arenas to Dogzilla stomping randomly down onto your spinning deathblade, there is wonderful variety in there to make those 5-30 minute runs feel refreshing. Almost 2 hours in but there are many more to come.

I enjoyed the game a lot but the content ran out wayyy too quickly more content, endless mode, actually interesting roguelite vibes, would've definitely made the game better, If you wish to enjoy the game, the demo should be enough to experience the game
Somehow they made it worse than the demo???
Fun as hell and I dont think ppl understand that this is a rogue-like to a degree, but I understand how some ppl can be annoyed with how short the runs are so that might be something for the future. Rn tho you just gotta keep spinning. Would be fun to be able to go up against friends in the future, which is a huge ask for a $5 game, but still
Jesus is the balancing trash
kind of disappointed in the variety of parts. doesn't matter how you build your bay it always comes down to "grab the power cube to use the skill" parts could use some different trigger mechanics like over time, on hit or while stationary at this point every run feels the same, the modifiers for "challenge run" are just annoying or nonconsequential not challenging
This game is cute, quirky, and fun... for an hour or two (3-5 runs max). Lots of tropes and pop culture references. This is my experience both from both idly playing for fun and working my way through (so far most of) the Challenge Runs or "Episodes": Positives: - Art style and music never get old (some sound effects could be lowered a bit though) - Blade control itself is smooth (at high levels when your stats are crazy) - Run Modifiers are unique enough to be challenging and fresh without unfairly punishing (DOG -.-) Negatives: - As others have said, battling boils down to Power Up box collection. Unless you push them out of the arena within the first 4ish seconds before it spawns, the fight is basically up to who's build benefits more from the PowerUp. - Keeping that in mind, I'm not sure how much if any balancing was put into the Parts themselves. My "meta" quickly became Catholic Head+Body because they did "Reduce enemy speed by 2x your level" which by level 10 or even 5 was just a 1-Powerup-Oneshot - Auras are nowhere near cohesive enough. Any parts that use "X effect from Y Active Auras" is so niche considering Auras have time limits, unless you want to sacrifice another part slot to get their time doubled on box pickup. - THE AI CONTROL IS SO BAD IT CAUSED ME TO WRITE THIS REVIEW. I'm so serious, after one challenge flopped a few runs I chalked it up to bad luck and did some others. This time, after FOUR BATTLES of both blades just circling around the outer ring, NOT EVEN FIGHTING, I had it. Not only does Your AI seem almost afraid of the Power-Up Box (refer to how stupidly important that is in previous points) it can't even mow the grass decently!! Running into your own bomb? Sure, I get it, its a dome arena with an enemy clashing into you. Running into it FIVE TIMES? It doesn't even matter what the enemy is using, my bot gives up by itself.
A nice little game. But what were they thinking with the autobattle tasks? It’s just not fun. It’s terrible.
it's a pretty baller game but it needs more content like i beat this ♥♥♥♥ in an hour and i have no incentive to jump back in. positive review regardless it's a really cool concept and i love the inspirations around this game, it just needs.. more bro
