Skillwood is a relaxing woodcutter simulator inspired by survival simulators and incremental games. Chop wood, mine stone, trade with NPCs, upgrade forests, unlock new trees or new areas and prestige to do even better next run.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.

stop why is this actualy really fun and addicting
I got it for free not sure if it will always be free, but this seems like someone's very decent attempt to make a first game that has decent gameplay mechanics: gather resources, use a skilled timing to do it better, manage stamina by using the campfire or eating wild foods. Get different resources to advance to new areas etc. It is very generic 2d graphics much like the Atari console that predated NES, but the mechanics are far more than anything Atari allowed back then. So great job for an indie developer clearly trying to harness and build on their knowledge and built a workable game that is a casual but still decently fun thing to do for a little bit at a time.

fun and chill, especially for a free game. if you do not like grinding, you might not like it. I like the graphics, the music, and the little bird friend.
good game
This game had quite a lot of flaws. I played it as a "podcast game" where you just listen to something and use this to keep your hands busy, so it was fine at that, but I feel like there could've been some improvements. It's not really a survival at all, but incremental makes sense with the gameplay. You repeat one action, try to time your swings to get into the green bar, and that's basically it. There's a prestige mechanic, but I didn't take advantage of it because of how long it took to get back to where I was. In most games I've played, you save much more time on each play through There were also frustrations as I upgraded my tools, as it'd make it so it takes longer for the lower leveled things. Like, if I wanted to clear out the first level trees, after my second upgrade, it needed more stamina, causing it to take even longer. Overall, a fine enough simple game, but I do hope the developer learns more and that their next game is more fleshed out.
Wish there was more content, like higher tiers of trees and rocks. Also, while I got my woodcutting and mining to "Ready" at Tier 4, there's no way to go beyond it for the time being—really hope there's a possibility of updates in the future. Just noticed that I completed the Achievements. HAHAHAHA That one dude's review of completing the Achievements in 5.1 hours was spot on!
sadly, i got bored just after the 1st loop. anw, its free so no critic is reasonable here
I am honestly surprised a game of this quality is free, it is very good and it is a joy to play. While it is repetitive in nature, its exactly that which makes it really good for escaping bad thoughts for me, I can grind hours away and barely notice. also being autistic this game is really good for finding the turn off button that I need desperately when I am overstimulated or overloaded
