I feel like I've committed a grave sin spending 1300 hours in this wonderful game. It is truly a game worth spending time playing

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Wow, talk about memories lol. Sins of a Solar Empire was easily one of the best space-based RTS games of the early 2000s, with Homeworld being the only other real contender, and I've easily sunk hundreds of hours into the series throughout my life. In fact, I think SoSE Trinity was one of the very first physical copy PC games I bought as a kid... simpler times. Anyway, these days you're better off just picking up Sins of a Solar Empire 2 - it's got much better performance, subjectively better graphics (apart from the AI stuff), and slightly better depth/mechanics. Unless you're looking for some nostalgia, then Sins 2 is just the more definitive experience now. Still though, this was such an epic title back in the day and therefore it deserves it's own thumbs up review.
Immersive and entertaining. A good challenge for fans of strategy games without being over-the-top difficult.
Personally disappointed. Not much point buying if you own Sins of Solar Empire: Rebellion. As the game is at this time (12/2024), Maybe after some content DLCs. If you are new to SoSE, it's solid space strategy.
Definitely better than Sins 2.
An outstanding game which is eclipsed in every meaningful way by its sequel, Sins1 / Rebellion still has a few major things going for it. The mods. While ST Armada 4 will (or has, depending on when / if you read this) come out, ST Armada 3 rocks. Ages of the Federation is even better. The numerous sci-fi franchise mods (Star Wars, Battlestar, Babylon 5, more) are bonkers good in terms of visual quality and worthwhile gameplay. For the retail experience Sins2 all the way. For modding, this one.
Отличная космическая стратегия с разными вариантами развития событий, настраиваемыми режимами и боями. Очень интересная, можно создавать свои карты и играть как с ботами так и с людьми.
99 out of 10 "What do we have here?" and the most annoying bots possible as soon as they are set as hard. But fun.
Great game for duking it out in space, RPG style. I used to play multiplayer with some close friends on a local connection. Always was a good way to hang and pass time together.
