Once again, a gorgeous and excellent set of puzzles. The mechanics are basically the same as in SiNKR 1 and 2, but there are enough new subtleties that you have the feeling of playing something really new - especially if, like me, you waited a good while after the last installment. The interface is still one of the best I've ever seen without text, and the tutorial levels are extremely clear when a new mechanic gets introduced. Nothing too hard in this game, I finished it in about 3 hours with absolutely no stress. But every level is a pleasure to play, with really nice solutions (and often more than one path to completion). Wholeheartedly recommend this game. My only caveat is that if you play this one before playing numbers 1 and 2 you might like the older ones less when you get to them, because number 3 is really good looking and smooth. :) EDIT: well I went back to 1&2 and found out I'd missed the major updates that make them just as smooth ang pretty as 3, because apparently the dev is awesome.
If you liked the first 2 games, here's more new levels of getting the circle and square pucks into the slots using the hooks, arrows, bouncers, and teleports. The new feature with some puzzles is the ability to transfer kinetic energy from one puck to another like a Newton's Cradle pendulum. Otherwise, it's SiNKR flipped diagonally or with a little more complicated looking hooks. Most of the game isn't too difficult, but I will confess to having to use the walkthrough for a few of the toughie 3 star levels near the end. As in SiNKR 2, each chapter of the game starts you with some easy puzzles to introduce new concepts and gets harder as you go through the chapter. The difficulty goes back to easier at the start of every chapter and the overall difficulty curve slowly increases the further you go. The Steam achievements for doing certain things in the game are really easy to get, but the ones for finishing each chapter are the real challenges especially for the last few chapters. I do like the multi-step undo feature even allowing you to reset a puzzle to the last move you made if you accidentally messed up hopelessly so you don't have to start completely over and am glad the developer went back and inserted this feature into the earlier games too. Really chill soundtrack and nice background effects. The whole interface is still just pictures only (which I'm sure was done to avoid localization hassles), so does take a little playing around with things in the game options to figure out what everything does. If you enjoy simple puzzle games which you can play for a few minutes here and there, much recommended!
SiNKR 3, developed by Robert Wahler and published by Wahler Digital, is a refined and meditative puzzle game that continues the distinctive minimalism of its predecessors while introducing clever new mechanics that expand its conceptual depth. The SiNKR series has always been defined by its quiet intelligence—a set of games that strip away everything nonessential, leaving behind pure logic and mechanical elegance. SiNKR 3 upholds that philosophy but refines it further, creating puzzles that are more layered, more dynamic, and ultimately more rewarding. It’s the kind of game that demands no urgency or competition from the player, only thoughtful observation and experimentation, yet it still manages to challenge the mind in ways few puzzle games achieve. The premise of SiNKR 3, as with the earlier entries, revolves around guiding pucks into holes by manipulating hooks, pulleys, and mechanical contraptions. Each level is a self-contained system, a small logic machine that must be solved through movement and timing rather than guesswork. The brilliance of the design lies in how it builds complexity without adding clutter. There are no instructions, text prompts, or tutorials in the conventional sense—just a clear visual language that teaches through interaction. You learn by doing, by watching how one part of the system affects another, and by slowly piecing together the solution like an engineer fine-tuning a machine. The satisfaction when the final puck clicks neatly into place is immense, a moment of quiet triumph that feels earned rather than given. What distinguishes SiNKR 3 from its predecessors are the subtle but transformative changes to its mechanics. Diagonal movement, for instance, fundamentally alters how puzzles are approached, allowing for new forms of geometry and spatial reasoning. The addition of billiard-style bouncing introduces a kinetic energy that makes levels feel more alive, as pucks ricochet and interact with the environment in ways that require anticipation rather than linear planning. The multi-step undo system, another thoughtful improvement, encourages experimentation—mistakes become part of the learning process rather than a source of frustration. Each of these elements adds a layer of depth while maintaining the minimalist ethos that defines the series. It’s evolution, not reinvention, executed with care and restraint. The pacing of SiNKR 3 is perfectly tuned to its tone. Early puzzles ease the player into its logic, letting you internalize the rules and relationships between components without overt explanation. As the game progresses, the systems interlock in more complex ways, forcing you to think several steps ahead and mentally simulate outcomes before committing to a move. There’s no time pressure, no score, and no hint system intruding on your process—the game respects the player’s intelligence enough to trust them to figure things out. This sense of calm persistence becomes its own rhythm. Each level invites contemplation, and the absence of urgency gives the experience an almost meditative quality. It’s a rare puzzle game that values stillness as much as success. Visually, SiNKR 3 continues the series’ dedication to simplicity and clarity. Its minimalist presentation—muted colors, clean geometric forms, and smooth animations—creates an aesthetic that is both utilitarian and elegant. There is no background noise, no flashy particle effects, no unnecessary embellishment. The focus remains entirely on the logic of movement and the relationship between shapes. The result is a sense of tranquility, a quiet atmosphere where every click and shift carries weight. This visual and auditory restraint is not a limitation but a design choice that reinforces the purity of its puzzles. It invites the player to focus entirely on the mechanics and their own thought process, turning each session into an exercise in concentration. As polished and elegant as it is, SiNKR 3 is also modest in scope, and its minimalist structure may not appeal to everyone. It does not attempt to surprise with narrative twists or elaborate visuals. The progression can feel methodical, even austere, and the challenge spikes can occasionally catch players off guard. Some puzzles demand a level of foresight that borders on daunting, and the absence of explicit guidance may frustrate those who prefer more direct feedback. Yet these qualities are inseparable from the game’s identity. It is designed to reward persistence, not impatience—to be understood through practice rather than instruction. The reward is not simply solving a puzzle but grasping how the system itself operates. From a technical and experiential standpoint, SiNKR 3 runs flawlessly. Its small footprint and low system requirements make it easily accessible, while its refined control scheme ensures smooth interaction whether played on a PC or portable device. The game’s structure makes it perfect for short, reflective sessions or extended bouts of concentrated problem-solving. Its lack of distraction and its elegant internal consistency make it a rare kind of meditative entertainment—a game that challenges you quietly, without noise or spectacle, and leaves you with the deep satisfaction that comes from solving something with pure reasoning. In the end, SiNKR 3 is both a culmination and a refinement. It honors the series’ minimalist roots while expanding its mechanical possibilities in ways that feel meaningful rather than gratuitous. It asks for patience and focus but rewards both with moments of serene accomplishment. For players who value logic, clarity, and understated elegance, it represents one of the most thoughtfully designed puzzle experiences in recent memory. Robert Wahler’s craftsmanship shows how simplicity can still yield complexity, and how, in the quiet precision of movement and timing, a small puzzle game can achieve something deeply profound. Rating: 8/10
This is the perfect puzzle game for quiet evenings. The diagonal movement addition feels subtle but meaningful, and the painless undo makes experimentation fun.
Overall = 6/10
Whilst it looks fresher and has ever so slightly different mechanics in some levels, it really is just more of the same. The plinky piano music, graph paper in space style artwork and a selection of puzzles is pleasant and challenging enough, but it doesn’t really excel or bring anything really new to the series. It does get to the more advanced mechanics quicker, but apart from the last couple of levels, they offer little challenge and there isn’t enough levels to really get stuck into.

Diagonals are a natural escalation for the SiNKR series, but because of this new mechanic I wouldn't suggest buying SiNKR 3 before tackling at least one of its predecessors. Mid-game, I feel like it pulled its punches. I'd end up looking at a level and seeing several different ways to solve it, which is not a feeling I recall having much with the first two games. (The flipside: if the other two games gave you difficulty-related trouble, perhaps this one won't.) On review, SiNKR 3 re-uses the same MacLeod track as the first game (Music for Manatees)...which would explain why I found the audio grating and ultimately just turned off "sound effects" again. A bit of a flat finish to the trilogy, but still worth picking up to complete your SiNKR collection. Kudos to Wahler for continually backporting enhancements to earlier games in the series, as well.
