Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I played the demo for Sin before the game released. That must have been back in 1998. I liked it quite a bit. Starting off the game manning a heavy machine gun from a helicopter before going in on foot seemed pretty cool. Fresh. The game looked good and utilized the Quake 2 engine well. The game also seemed challenging and so I got a surprising amount of play out of what was merely a demo. And that was that. I never got the full game. I couldn't tell you why. Perhaps I was influenced by some negative reviews or perhaps it's true that the game suffered heavily from being overshadowed by Half-Life. Whatever the case was after picking up the game on Steam in 2026 I can tell you that it was for the best. For whatever the comparison may be worth, I also completed Far Cry 1 in 2026 and THAT game is a masterpiece. So having played shooters since I picked up Doom in 1994 I do like to think that I can give old games fair consideration. First of all if you're going to play the game pick up the Dominatrix mod. Search for it. It'll fix some resolution issues. The reason I enjoyed that demo so much back in the day may have very well been because that first level might have been the best level in the game! The levels seem to get worse and worse and it seems like the game must have been rushed or something. I see reviewers complaining about the snipers but they didn't bother me that much. I found the underwater divers much more annoying. These annoying enemies are juxtaposed with levels that were FAR too easy towards the end of the game. The few vehicles in the game control poorly. You might find yourself taking damage from locker doors and cupboards closing on you. Yes, little wooden cupboard doors will harm you in this game while you find yourself looking for items. The game isn't all bad and some of the shooting is fun enough. I enjoy the little bits of humor here and there and the game does get a few style points. There seems to be this sentiment that Sin was unfairly overshadowed by Half-Life. I've seen people call it a "gem". A "classic". "Underrated". It's not. It's really not. It's basically an average shooter. I would give it a 6/10. Maybe even somewhere between a 5 and a 6. It's not a bad game but I cannot recommend it.

One of my all time favorite shooters, the way the objectives infuence the campaign and eviroment are, to this day, rarely replicated. Peak late 90's level design, a full gambit of awesome weapons, so much campy writing and one liners, a totally wild story that sometimes feels more like a James Bond anthology, one crazy thing to another. It was a true masterwork in it's time. Looking forward to the remaster.
A Blast from the Past
I vividly remember reading an article about this game when it was still in production back in the late 90's, with the art of the dominatrix villain featured in the cover of the PC gamer magazine, and this art really made an impression in my raging hormones teenager mind. For some reason though, I've never got to actually play this game and totally forgot about it even when I was actively pc gaming at the time. Fast forward to almost 30 years later, 2026, and this game appeared out of nowhere in my Steam feed, with a huge discount. After all these years, as a middle aged man, I could finally check out that game I saw in the magazine as a teenager. What a pleasant surprise this game is. I'm in a retro gaming kick lately, getting to know old games I've never played, and SiN didn't disappoint. I felt transported to 1999 and greatly enjoyed my time with this game. Loved the fast and responsive, if basic, gunplay using the Quake 2 engine, the awesome 90's techno soundtrack, and the lightheartdness of the atmosphere with the Duke Nukem-like enthusiasm of the protagonist and the playful dialogue with the sidekick. Important to mention that the game has puzzles with computer terminals and alternate paths to levels which are really impressive for a FPS at the time, making it feel somewhat unique. I could not stop playing the main campaign and the expansion until the end, it was so fun. During those 20 hours with SiN I could feel myself back in time again when life was more simple, and I feel blessed for that. 8/10
Barely recommended. This was really on the verge on whether I should put thumbs up or down for this one. SiN is an FPS game with usually fun combat, wacky characters and severe deliberate oversexualisation that becomes a satire of its own. Normally, I push hard against heavily sexualised games, but this one mostly makes jokes out of it, so I guess I'm not complaining. Even without over-the-top sexualisation other aspects are over-the-top as well. Humour and dialogues are so cheesy, corny and dated. It's so lame that it works, quite amusing. Reminds me of those 80s and 90s cheesy action films like Steel (1997), or Tango & Cash (1989), Blade (1998) too haha. The music here is very good though, similar music could be heard in already mentioned Blade and The Matrix (1999). As for the gameplay, there is quite a lot of variety in levels. both quality and pace. Most of the stealth levels are ranging from pretty bad to very bad. There are some okay water levels, they're not good, but toleratable. Some of the best levels are the very first levels of the game, although there are still many good levels later on. Unfortunately, most of the levels in the last third of the game are atrocious. Full of snipers who can easily kill you even on easy difficulty, most enemies are insane bullet sponges which makes combat a lot less fun, the environments are poorly lit, but the level design in many of those late game levels is garbage. The jungle levels, the levels where you play as someone else so to say, and the lab levels are really bad. At least, the final few levels were pretty good. Now as for expansion, it is a lot better than the main game. While, there were some levels I liked less than others, overall there wasn't a single awful level, and most were good. It's a lot more action-oriented than the main game. Final boss battle was terrible though... Another aspect which quite annoyed me in this game is how illogical and cryptic it is sometimes. The dumbest one is that in one building in which the game preferred you to get in stealthily and unnoticed, you need to activate the alarm manually in order for one door to open from which the alarmed guards come in. And in that room there is a keycard which you must get. So, basically in order to proceed you have to fail the approach what you thought the game preferred you to perform... Luckily, in both, the main game and the expansion combined there were only about 3-5 moments which I had no idea how was I supposed to figure out. Overall, SiN is a heavily flawed FPS game. The wide variety of weapons and dismemberment makes combat fun, but numerous bad levels bring this game down a lot, to the point that I can only barely recommend it. 7/10
gameplay is dated and not in a good way, there was a reason it couldnt compete with half-life. shame sin emergence got dropped after 1 episode, that one was way better
Damm! - Blade.
