Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Didn't feel very good to play. Might be a me problem though as others seem to like it.

Developed by Dumativa and published by Dumativa together with CriticalLeap, Shieldmaiden: Remix Edition is a polished retro-inspired action platformer that combines old-school gameplay philosophy with modern presentation. Set in a bleak future where intelligent machines have wiped humanity from the world, the game follows Asta, a determined young warrior who ventures into the remnants of the once-thriving city of Modigard in search of her missing sister. While the narrative remains straightforward, it provides enough emotional motivation to keep players engaged as they uncover the secrets hidden within the mechanical wasteland. Rather than overwhelming the player with lengthy storytelling, the game lets its environments and atmosphere communicate much of its worldbuilding, creating a sense of mystery that complements the fast-paced adventure. Combat is built around a unique defensive approach that distinguishes Shieldmaiden: Remix Edition from many traditional side-scrolling platformers. Instead of relying solely on offensive attacks, Asta's shield serves as the centerpiece of every encounter, encouraging players to master blocking, timing, and counterattacks. Enemies become increasingly dangerous as the adventure progresses, rewarding observation and precision over reckless aggression. This emphasis on defensive mechanics gives battles a satisfying rhythm, especially during the game's large-scale boss encounters, where understanding attack patterns becomes just as important as quick reflexes. The challenge feels balanced throughout, demanding skill without becoming unfair, making each victory feel genuinely earned. The campaign spans nine carefully designed stages spread across four visually distinct regions, each introducing new hazards, enemies, and platforming challenges. Exploration is rewarded with hidden collectibles and optional discoveries that encourage players to look beyond the main path instead of simply rushing toward the next objective. Environmental obstacles are integrated naturally into the level design, requiring careful jumps and precise movement while maintaining a steady pace that keeps the gameplay engaging. Although the overall adventure is relatively concise and can be completed within several hours, the quality of the stage design and the inclusion of secrets provide additional replay value for completionists. One of the game's greatest strengths is its audiovisual presentation. The pixel art is exceptionally detailed, blending cyberpunk influences with colorful neon lighting and post-apocalyptic landscapes to create a memorable world that feels both nostalgic and fresh. Character animations are fluid, giving Asta responsive movement during combat and platforming sequences alike. Every location has its own identity, preventing the visual experience from becoming repetitive despite the game's modest scope. Complementing the visuals is an energetic soundtrack that mixes electronic synthwave music with orchestral elements, enhancing both the excitement of combat and the quiet loneliness of exploring a civilization abandoned to machines. Together, the visuals and music create an atmosphere that consistently reinforces the game's futuristic setting. Shieldmaiden: Remix Edition succeeds because it remains focused on delivering a refined experience rather than overextending its ambitions. It captures the spirit of classic action platformers while introducing enough original mechanics to establish its own identity. The engaging shield-based combat, polished level design, rewarding exploration, and striking presentation make it an enjoyable experience from beginning to end. While some players may wish for a longer campaign or a more elaborate narrative, the game's consistency and craftsmanship outweigh its relatively brief runtime. Fans of retro-inspired platformers, cyberpunk aesthetics, and challenging action games will likely find this adventure both entertaining and memorable. Rating: 8/10
