Very nice (in borat voice) I enjoyed it. felt like a detective there. some puzzles where difficult but most of them was easy enough. so basically there was 5 chapters or cases. 3rd chapter being my FAV. One thing dont sit right with me is the game title name is The devils daughter but it is only involved in the final chapter (5). The city was nice 18/19th london movie vibes. one complain is the city is very unlively. there are NPC there but most dont talk they just do some random stuff. There are few activites in the city but its meh. most of the time you can fast travel from anywhere so its not even noticable. You get to play a dog in one chapter. 4/5

This game is... really bad. Sherlock Holmes in this game is just a worse person and character to be around, the mysteries are weak and weird and any sense of moral ambiguity in the condemn/absolve system is gone. Not the condemn/absolve system itself, that's there, but when the first case has the villain commit the most comically evil act you can imagine? (You can guess it from the opening cutscene and case name, but it's [spoiler] a Most Dangerous Game scenario where poor people are being quite literally hunted [/spoiler]) You're stuck wondering why you would absolve. The fact that it's a choice at all is comical, in a bad way. The minigames are also what I'd call "too much". If you're coming to a Sherlock Holmes game for the stealth sections and slow, awkward puzzles, then you have your game. If not... have fun with that skip button. Obviously some puzzles are good in a Holmes game, but in the second case, there is a semi-diagetic puzzle gauntlet. It doesn't fit the story, makes the mystery more confusing (because Holmes gains knowledge there's no way for him to know) and is tedious, interrupting the mystery gameplay. There's a bocce minigame that takes several minutes. I think that's the most succinct review I can give this game.

This game does not support windowed fullscreen, or even just fullscreen on a monitor that is not the primary monitor. Multi-monitor setups were already quite common in 2016 when this was released. This is unacceptable. I have found a workaround using third-party tools, but I should not have to do this to play a game that released in 2016. I would expect this from a game released in 1998. This is a major turn-off. The gameplay is okay, not great. There are a lot of action scenes where you have to do things in a timely manner, but the controls are not very sensitive so it feels extremely sluggish and frustrating. I really cannot recommend playing on mouse and keyboard as some of the action sequences or even stuff like eavesdropping require keeping two different circles in two bigger circles and using a keyboard for it is awful. If it was just for the detective aspect, it would be a lot better. It's the kind of game that's okay if you get it on sale for only a few dollars but it's not worth the full price. It's also very short, I spent a lot of time with the game open but not playing because I forgot to close it when I walked away, so I would say it has maybe 4 or 5 hours of gameplay if you take your time.

Вместо того чтобы сосредоточиться на логике и уликах, разработчики напичкали проект бесконечными и часто неуместными мини-играми. При этом, если речь идёт об расследовании, то сама игра ведёт игрока к правильному ответу, а ошибиться практически невозможно. Главная сюжетная линия, посвящённая отношениям Холмса с приёмной дочерью, оказалась настолько слабой и неинтересной, что за ней совершенно не хочется следить
