Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 18 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pretty good game overall. The combat is weak. When I started skipping them, I enjoyed the game way more.

"Sham-lock Golmes" is why I hate consoles. You don't screw with the SH franchise just because you want to cater to a "wider audience". You also don't: - Build drama without proper facial animations - Build an annoying pointless open world - Build pointless and boring cases where the player doesn't even have to listen or read anything since the logic is either so broken or so easily deduced. - Place collectable quests... - Build a game with no real continuity in the stories or the clues of the cases. - Make running around annoying as the player has to "discover" an empty world just to get fast travel opened. - Build a game that serves a sleeping pill. You better do better, Frogwares. The only reason this is not a thumb down is the respect you got from this reboot.
An excellent game with an open map with various European ambiences on a fictional island. I love that it features Mycroft Holmes and much of Sherlock's family history. It is vague enough in places to have replay value and it has multiple endings. It does have some frustrating plot holes in a few places and some stability issues on lower end PCs. I just wish it had been a coop experience too.
Im sorry. I prefer smaller maps for Sherlock. And sherlocks abilites sometimes just dont work. At least the story and cases are more grounded though, but I just can't finish it because it feels so tidious and TOO open. Please go back to making smaller maps and like 10 cases with much more to do. I want OLD sherlock NOW!
I'll have a spoiler section later so beware. At first, the characters of Sherlock and John seemed off everywhere... the outfit, the age, the design, the banter, even the rest of the world also felt out of place, the city, the antagonist, the NPCs. But I can safely say that by the end, everything made sense, and the things that made me complain were explained and were in tune with the theme of the game. So even if I would have done it differently, it still belongs in this story. The game follows Sherlock in his infancy, before his life in London as THE Sherlock, which gives a lot of freedom to the writers and I think they did a very good job. The theme of the game is truth and what is perceived as truth. When the player decides the outcome Sherlock defends it as the truth, but not always will we know for a fact that it was that way, nor the game shows us if it was, which is awesome because if follows the theme of the game, the truth that you know may not be the whole truth, but a decision with not all the information at hand. I think that the main cases are relatively average, Crimes and Punishments still have the most memorable ones to me. Still, Sacrificial Lamb is a stand out, one of the best cases to date, problem is that it is the shortest. The chemical mini-game is pure padding and ridiculous, either go on a different approach or remove it. The mind palace is back and I absolutely love it, although the neurons style of Crimes and Punishments is still my favourite. This game relies a lot on action and armed confrontation. Although it is not as bad as I thought at the trailer it is still a chore and I just wished it was never there. If action is to be in this franchise, make it more about manipulation and wits, not slow-mo and guns. In the end, even though the main cases were average, they fit nicely together and by the end this was the best personal story of Sherlock IMO. By the very end, I was shocked, sad, happy, and satisfied, more than the other games gave me in the personal sense. **********SPOILERS*********** A couple of decisions I feel like I need to point out: Jon being an imaginary friend is really good since I thought that the roles were reversed at first, after awhile it made sense since both are Sherlock. Going for his childhood is awesome since there is a lot of freedom and no need to be canon. But what takes the cake is Violet Holmes, I think they handled really well why Sherlock and Mycroft became the persons we know and love. Both coping in different form, one never looks at himself only to the nation and the other is fully absorbed in himself. Seeing the different ages, how they dealt with Violet's disease and death, I think it was handled really really well. I would not mind if a version of this becomes canon, I think it is that good.
Pros - The cases are varied enough - As well as the standard investigation stuff there were quite a few different mechanics to keep things interesting - The Jon character was excellent IMHO. Probably the game would have gotten boring without the banter and the funny ways the character interacts with the scenes. - Graphics are decent - Controls are fine - UI was fine - There is combat in the game which is unusual but it does help mix up the gameplay a bit. Cons - Performance in the open world was poor with lots of imersion breaking stutter. - When you save the game and reload it doesn't put you in the same location. - Takes a really long time to get going IMHO. The open world feels pointless and empty for quite awhile. - Has that terrible system as some of the other titles where the clues equally suggest two different cultprits and there may be a right answer but you will be often be making a 50/50 call. For me its just ok. Very slow to get into and I don't think the open world ever justifies its existence. I think they could have kept the overworld map but just built out smaller hub areas like the other games in the series and it would be essentially the same game just with considerably better performance.
Bewertung: 8/10
