It is nerve racking but it helps develop my fatherly instincts

(5/5★) The game Shelter One is a survival-based game that tells a story of motherhood. It makes you put yourself into the position of a mother badger who is trying to feed and nurture her children and protect them. While I was playing the game, I named each of my little badger children. Mini Me, Skunk, Pierce, Needle, and Ferret. {Yes, the names are a little weird do not judge me..} During the playthrough I lost Needle to a wave rushing through while she fell behind her siblings, she was the only one I lost and I felt genuine grief for that fictional badger, any game that can make me feel that way deserves to be played.

The price is a bit steep for a short game like this but it's decent. I would always run forward by a bit before I drop food to favor the strongest ones. The fishes didn't pass my risk assessment but I caught most other prey on the way since a badger gotta do what a badger gotta do. This way I only lost one to the water currents. In the end I was able to carry through two of my by then decently sized and well fed cubs, who will carry on my legacy. I couldn't be a more proud badger mother.

Классный симулятор барсука. В этой игре чувствуешь себя настоящей матерью пытающейся сохранить семью и научить маленьких барсучат выживать. Хотя дело совсем не в барсуках...

Концовка — это один из самых сильных и опустошающих моментов.Сидя перед монитором, я просто не могла поверить, что всё закончилось так. Это высшая точка материнского самопожертвования. скажу еще что угловатая, текстурная графика в стиле крафтовой бумаги создавала такое ощущение, что ты листаешь старую, немного жуткую книжку со сказками на ночь. прекрасная игра, даже спустя года.

this game is very nostalgic for me and i love the aesthetic so much. it kind of feels like playing a storybook, it's lonely but peaceful. it took me a little more than an hour to complete, but i could see it taking longer. highly recommend if you have an hour to kill and find the artstyle interesting!! HOWEVER, do NOT pay full price. 15 dollars is way too much for this, even if i do enjoy it a lot.

Really short and a somber game I found it to be very cute I enjoyed it the art style reminds me of wind in the willows for some reason.
