About

Shards of Order is a dark fantasy RPG that throws out the rulebook for deckbuilding & card-based combat. There are no turns and no mana points. Every enemy acts on a visible countdown, and every card you play winds those counters down, shifting the whole flow of the fight. Time is your most valuable resource. Misjudge, and your team is sure to crumble.
Master the art of shared deckbuilding; there are three heroes, but only one set of cards. Every card you add affects the drawing odds. Will you build around one main hero and stack the deck in their favor, or spread the strength across the whole party and keep everyone in the fight?
Reality is coming apart. The ancient Laws that once held life, death, and time in place have been stolen or shattered. What’s left is a world where identity fractures and the dead refuse to stay buried. A handful of survivors set out to put it back together, one broken Law at a time. You’re their leader, and restoring Order is up to you – If you find it worth saving.
Play as three distinct characters, each with multiple playstyles, their own skill trees, and a personal arc. This is a full RPG underneath the cards: level up, customize equipment, make dialogue choices, and pass skill checks. Weapons and armor aren't just stat sticks. They define each hero's playstyle and can even inject unique cards straight into your shared deck, so every gear decision is also a deckbuilding decision. Layer the right gear across all three and your party starts working like one organism.
The time counter system is the heart of combat in Shards of Order. Each enemy shows exactly when it will act next, and each card you play pushes those moments closer or further away. You're not reacting turn by turn, but rather managing a clock for your entire party at once. One mistimed card can unravel the whole fight, so every move is a calculation. Three unique regions and a roster of handcrafted boss fights will push your time mastery to the limit.
As you scavenge a dying world, you recover the lost Laws that once governed it. But restoration comes at a cost. Each Law you bring back draws the eye of the all-seeing God a little closer. In your darkest moments, they will offer a helping hand, and you're free to take it. But be warned: they are known for their mischief…
Now, embark on this journey through ruin, where every decision leaves a scar, and every scar becomes part of your story.
There is no more Order. Only what you are strong enough to bring back.

I enjoyed this game - there are some great things about it and a couple I wasn't as excited for. The pros however , really outweighed the couple of subjective things I didn't enjoy. PROS: The artwork is fantastic. Cards, characters, enemies, dark-theme, ambiance - all crisp and very detailed. The card game/deck building was very fun. The idea of respec'ing was enjoyable for me - the ability to find new combos and easily try things out was very cool. CONS: Subjectively I didn't enjoy the story part. I liked the card element so much I just wanted that part of the game and not the RPG/Story side. I do think that if you enjoy role playing and following stories - that there's probably an interesting tale here. Sadly, I ignored it. Some cards also used words that were slightly unclear but you could figure out (eg "Sword" cards are mentioned - they are cards with sword icons but there's no "Sword" keyword for example.) NEUTRAL: The quests were neat, but also made running around the map a bit hectic. The entire traversal system is both neat and.....odd. It didn't add/subtract for me. The crafting was also extremely tacked on. Not seeing the enemies data before an encounter also felt a bit goofy/guesswork. The big "eye" thing to save you is also extremely ambiguous on it's power, how often you can use it, etc. Same with the random save/health restore check points. In Summary, in spite of some creative, yet definitely out of the box creative game design choices that some added, some detracted a bit and some were neutral - the core of the game (the card building/playing) was excellent. Tie in the graphics and this was a very fun card game (+rpg ish) experience.

I havent finished it yet, but its a good game in a crowded genre. The time mechanic instead of mana and it NOT being a roguelike are the most important aspects. The good: - good introduction into the usual suspects (strength, weakness, posion and time delay this time, which is sadly op - interesting cards in the late game - all heroes have unique mechanics which are fairly interesting, with the scholar standing out here being a bit more complex. - mechanics like the eye which are great for casual players. I am happy that they found a way to make the game easier without just reducing enemy dmg or hp. Big plus in that regard :D - equipment gives a bit more depth - over 10 hours for a low price the bad: - most strategies feel samey, as in buffing one guy to be the damage dealer, one the tank and one for debuffs. - although bosses have unique mechanics, they do not change the gameplay enough! E.g. one boss increases the mana cost of cards from heroes that attack. I was playing a 0 mana dmg build with the mage where his 0 mana cards are duplicated. This boss should have WRECKED me, with my strat being dysfunctional here. I still won and barely lost hp in the progress. - there are bugs like status symbols being a white square, music stopping halfway through (just silence for a minute) and it feels like there is sometimes a delay limit for cards, but like not for bosses but for random enemies?? - let me play the interesting cards earlier (cards in the later sections of the skilltree)! :(
Great dark fantasy deckbuilder/rpg with some cool new mechanics and twists which make it unique. Pretty short game (finished in about 10h or so) but definitely a good experience. Recommended. PS: holy ♥♥♥♥ music is awesome
Good game, but free respec mechanic is tricky, I am so stressed after each level/item to minmax build, it should have some price: once per map, cost hp or something
Challenging and having lots of fun. Some mechanics of cards are not intuitive and could be explained better. Can't figure out Amplify. Overall like it a lot.
Fantastic game, great story, beautiful artwork and animations, interesting and unique combat mechanics. I am a sucker for a a good turn based combat games, grim dark setting and a bit of exploration is a bonus. For such a low price this game is a must have
This is a meh game currently. The games that inspired it are there and it a nice nod to them. Very linear choices don't affect outcomes outside of rewards and they tell what affects the reward a huge bonus. The soundtrack is good and the card balance is ok. Some cards don't quite work as intended like temper. The other two characters being playable would be a great add they had cool move sets. Best part is it is a non rouge like card game. Not a bad game has room to grow.
