Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Lazy developer who thinks he can keep his game alive with stupid "quality of life" patches instead of actually adding content to his self admitted unfinished project.
Smoke cigarettes in the rain. Pepe Silvia boards. Fistfight in apartments. Crawl in vents. Warm yourself at a barrel fire while numb with pharma pills. Play wizard card games online. Solve Murders. Have a meal at a diner. It's a game for its liminal space, and it still gets updated. If you like Blade Runner, BR2049, Chinatown, or the Long Goodbye, it's good for an asocial, lonely experience.
I have more hours in game than recorded on this account. Got it on steam specifically to check if my issues were adressed in updates + workshop. Where do I even start? This isn't a bad game. Its actually quite alright. There's a reason why I've given it so much time. The problem is that squandering this type of potential reflects back on the final product. The sum of the product that you receive is heavily tainted by bugs, optimization, and the weird/outdated U.I and gameplay decisions/mechanics. It's a decent detective game with pretty robust case solving gameplay. I'm a sucker for detective games and in terms of that I think its actually quite impressive. My issue arises when you place the detective game aspect on the same crossroads as the imsim aspect. As an immersive sim this game is absolutely atrocious imo. There's like 3 predetermined paths that open up, yet end up feeling like more or less of the same strategy you used at the last house. Like cool I can search for a key or find a vent or lockpick? Those are choices, sure, but when those choices are that formulaic, then it's hard to treat it like something new everytime. The horrible U.I and inventory management aspect just makes all of this even more frustrating. Why is there so many stupid things that are anti player in this game? Like why can I put certain things on shelves but then the codebreaker is permanently tied to my inventory? I have to go break into a house and use it to break into a safe just to clear up 1/4 of my invetory slots? Why are the handcuffs not part of the character inventory like the fingerprint scanner? Who the ♥♥♥♥ was in charge of these decisions? This is something that should've been solved a week after release yet I'm complaining about it two years later? What is going on with performance and optimization? Like I understand this is a voxel game with radiant AI, but why the ♥♥♥♥ are the 1% lows equivalent to me blowing up entire buildings in Teardown? Something about the (lack of) optimization just rubs me the wrong way. It looks like minecraft with a lumen reshade preset yet I can't even get 60fps???? Why is there no autosave? What could possibly be the thought process behind this? Preventing save scumming? If its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ imsim let me try different things ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jesus christ I really want to love this game but it just feels painful sometimes. Even just trying to comprehend some of the decisons behind this games design hurts my head.
This game is ruined by bugs. ENDLESS BUGS. Im not talking, Being crap at the game bugs. I mean like, A guy asks me to retrieve his stolen prop gun. ( He must have 2 btw cuz his prop gun was right on his desk ) I find the guy responsible for stealing it within 5-10 minutes. The game does not register I picked up the prop. I try to put it in the mail box, He just throws it cuz its the same 2 buttons to interact with literlly everything... So I pick the gun back up pf the floor and the case resets. I have to call the Victim again. This is just one of MANY examples. I really tried with this game. I did. Watched countless youtube videos and they all have issues with bugs. I think honestly in this games case. Random generation is its downfall. Should just have 20-30 cities generated and bug free. Everything else about the game is so good. But its riddled with game breaking bugs. CCTV 9/10 are blank, or facing the wrong direction, There could be 3 turret sentries in one corridor where one would think some actuall CCTV should be there. Some crime scenes have NO TRACE. No finger prints ( fair they could wear gloves ) no cctc ( fair they could wipe the CCTV ) but when you go through ever guest list in the book, go round to every single house... I ended up using cheats in the end to figure out if i was being stupid or if things are just broken. The evelope quest, good luck with that... Dont save or reload cuz that breaks it. Almost everything you pickup for a Job does not register. And then theres immersive breaking thigs just happening all the time. Civilians shoving you out the way, Jamming you into corners, or worse, into restricted areas. Room-mates WILL shoot and try to kill you when you try to investigate there apartment. Ultimately- Random generation - Terrible Game setting - Terrible when your meant to be a Private Investigator. I get thats the world setting, But I don't think it was the right direction. Take all this BS out. and just give me the crime solving in a city where everyone isnt an over the top A**hole. I can deal with bad manners and rudeness, but when im investgating ur wifes murder you might wanna cut me some slack damn it. DESPITE these bugs, I really wanna keep playing. But I just cant. Give me the same game without the bugs and I could put 100s of hours into it.
Cases are WAY too easy. Killers leave really stupid clues like their full name with the letters scrambled on a piece of paper (also covered in their fingerprints). If you're good at anagrams, then this is basically the game just giving you the answer. Really poor case design. Another thing, when you get the case paperwork from city hall, you get the title of the case which is also a spoiler. For example I got one that was like "killer manager" or something to that effect. And--surprise--the killer was the victim's boss.
This game needs a second part and from a different developer
I really really wish I could recommend this game, I think it's very interesting and such a cool sandbox. I'm not particularly bothered by the amount of content as some other reviewers are since to me it has more than enough to keep the sandbox engaging and that's all I really need in a game like this. More variety would be nice, but not at all the issue I have with Shadows of Doubt. The game just doesn't perform well at all. I've played it on a handful of PCs and even after upgrading to an RTX card to deal with the forced ray tracing here it's always the same. If your game struggles to meet a stable 30 fps on a modern gaming rig while running at 640x480 resolution on the lowest settings available, something is fundamentally wrong with it. Indoors the game does better, but unless you're like me and are occasionally willing to cap the frame rate to 24 @ 800x600 to make it an "analog cinematic experience", it's gonna be a very rough ride. (I'd have stuck with 640x480, but none of the UI scales so everything below 800x600 is totally illegible.)
Not sure why this game has so many positive reviews. First and foremost this game is supposedly a finished product. Upon start up it crashed four times. Upon validation of files none were corrupt. Pretty awful start, but then when I finally got to play the game it bugged out and stopped working multiple times. The game is not stable and is not a 1.0 release. The modding scene is abandoned, the devs seem to be okay with the product they have provided. Not included the extremely questionable design choices like not allowing the player to use guns that every other npc in the game can use. In my limited time of playing I can for sure say this game is not worth the time or effort.
