Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Shadows of Doubt is set in an alternate reality in the hyper-industrialized 1980s. Think like a detective and use a variety of gadgets as a private intelligence investigator, gathering evidence and making money by solving cases, finding and selling information and more.
Play your own way in a fully simulated world with hundreds of citizens. Discover, meet and tail individual citizens, each with their own name, job, apartment and daily routine, in unique, procedurally-generated cities. Each case has different culprits, clues and experiences for you to test your investigative skills.
Explore anywhere in the city! Every nook of every trashy bar, every place of work, every seedy hotel room… This dystopia is your oyster. Break into apartments, rifle through secret documents or hack security systems - even a discarded receipt can be the key to cracking a case. Trace the receipt back to an individual location, scour CCTV footage and match the time up to the receipt to find out who it belonged to!
The entire world is fully simulated. Each citizen has an apartment, job, daily routine, favorite things to do, places to go, and people to interact with. They live out their lives independently, in a world that moves on with or without you— uncover this knowledge and use it to your advantage!

Think like a detective to solve the cases around you: check call histories, find passwords, read private emails, speak to persons of interest, watch CCTV footage and more to retrieve evidence and build your case. I really enjoy this game my only issue is that the npc's dialouge is not very good i dont get many options after asking "have you seen this person" aswell as i get trespassed for every little thing i dont really understand if im a cop why do i keep getting trespassed i am loving the concept but i hope the game does not get worse the further i play because i would not want to leave a bad reveiw but as of now the game is very good and i had fun playing it i hope it can become more interactive with npcs and such and i think a badge system could be really good to get npcs to listen to you you know.
Bought this back when it was in early access. Figured let me give this another shot. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is HORRIBLE lmao items glitch into walls and buildings, NPC's look like poop, if you go up to certain walls and buildings you can see and glitch right through them. How this even got released in this state is beyond me, this hands down might be one of the worst games i've ever played and that is being nice about it. Doesn't run too great either even with DLSS on. I can appreciate what they were trying to do here, but they failed miserably. I'm sure if i dove into modding it maybe then it could be great, but not even worth it if you ask me.

It's fun but wish there was a way to be the criminal and escape the detective. I find myself every game stealing stuff and it's fun becoming the best thief. But no real reward for it because you are meant to be solving cases. Think the concept is great just can't take the time to solve a case I always get side tracked by being a criminal maybe just a me think lol.
the game is good but the wait between cases is too long
A really fun detective sim and is the first one game in a long time that I've found myself losing hours enjoying. Yeah, there are a few bugs and (nearly) impossible cases, but the game has great replayability and is a good pick up when it goes on sale.
Might be the best detective type game I've ever played. Totally give it a go if you're looking for a semi hard detective sim that generates cases in real time. i was getting a little bit of lag in the higher buildings (roughly 20-30 fps) rather than my usual 60-80 at my current settings. Love the game, give it a go!
