Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Really captures that Half Life feel of having sedatives in your water.
Shadows of Doubt: A City That Never Sleeps
Let's be completely honest right from the start: I still have absolutely no idea what I am doing in Shadows of Doubt. I fail basic investigations, I miss obvious leads, and I regularly wander around rainy crime scenes feeling completely useless. And yet, this procedurally generated immersive sim detective game is an blast to play.
🕵️♂️ Dumb Luck, Complete Confusion, and Pure Fun
Most detective games hand-hold you through a linear story, but Shadows of Doubt drops you into a fully simulated, noir-drenched city and simply says: "Solve it." The problem? My detective skills are practically non-existent. Half the time, I find myself breaking into the wrong apartments, getting chased out by angry citizens, or connecting red strings on my case board that lead absolutely nowhere. But the sheer mechanical freedom is incredible. Even when you are completely out of your depth, stumbling through murder scenes and piecing together random clues by sheer luck is endlessly entertaining.
🏙️ A Truly Mind-Blowing Simulated World
The technical scope of the city is staggering. Every single NPC in this voxel-art metropolis has a daily routine, an apartment, a job, friends, and personal secrets. You can hack into security systems, sift through trash cans, bribe bartenders, or buy illegal lockpicks to break through vents. The atmosphere—filled with dark rainy alleys, glowing neon signs, and moody jazz tones—instantly pulls you in. You truly feel like a gritty private eye, even if your actual investigative process consists mostly of chaotic trial-and-error.
🧩Player Freedom
What makes the game so special is that it never cheats for you. There are no scripted solutions or magical quest markers (and if so, then iam blind). If you catch a killer, it is entirely because of your own choices, no matter how absurd or clumsy your path was to get there. You can play as a slick stealth master, a brawling intruder, or a broke detective who spends all their money on coffee while staring blankly at a case board full of dead ends.
⚠️ Drawbacks
Because the game relies so heavily on complex procedural generation, it comes with a noticeable amount of indie jank and recurring performance hiccups. After solving a few cases, you will also notice that procedural generation has its limits—certain murder patterns, puzzle layouts, and NPC behaviors start to repeat themselves. Furthermore, the sheer lack of direction can feel overwhelming if you aren't in the mood to make your own fun out of total confusion. And most important!! I think the game is "finished"
🏆 Conclusion
Shadows of Doubt is a wonderfully unhinged, ambitious detective playground. It doesn't care if you are a genius profiler or completely clueless—it simply hands you a rainy city full of secrets and lets you go wild. If you are looking for a hyper-ambitious immersive sim where you can fail miserably, mess up every clue, and still have the time of your life doing it, this game is an must-try.
Rating: 7.5/10
legendary game
Very fun game, it's very easy to get cash if you're a thief compared to a detective, but money isn't THE MOST important thing in this game as there's not much you desperately need to buy, so very fun if you just want to do some detective stuff.
Crashes on start up. Trash!
SoD has the inherent weirdness of every game that uses algorithms to generate its world, but nonetheless the cases I encountered were fairly satisfying, although any decent lawyer would tear my case and so-called evidence to pieces in a court, hence the dystopian privatised justice system. My one gripe is that the game is so determined that you are a private citizen that you cannot even enter a crime scene when the Enforcers (uniformed police) don't even have their own detective branch, so it strains story logic that I don't get a free pass or can even buy a "designated investigator" badge so I can inspect the deceased in situ without getting my brains blown out.
Juegazo, el mejor juego de detectives que existe.
shadows of doubt can be really fun if the game does actually work as intended... and there are many times it doesnt. if you encounter a case not working as intended, just accept another and move on.
