Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Shadows of Doubt is set in an alternate reality in the hyper-industrialized 1980s. Think like a detective and use a variety of gadgets as a private intelligence investigator, gathering evidence and making money by solving cases, finding and selling information and more.
Play your own way in a fully simulated world with hundreds of citizens. Discover, meet and tail individual citizens, each with their own name, job, apartment and daily routine, in unique, procedurally-generated cities. Each case has different culprits, clues and experiences for you to test your investigative skills.
Explore anywhere in the city! Every nook of every trashy bar, every place of work, every seedy hotel room… This dystopia is your oyster. Break into apartments, rifle through secret documents or hack security systems - even a discarded receipt can be the key to cracking a case. Trace the receipt back to an individual location, scour CCTV footage and match the time up to the receipt to find out who it belonged to!
The entire world is fully simulated. Each citizen has an apartment, job, daily routine, favorite things to do, places to go, and people to interact with. They live out their lives independently, in a world that moves on with or without you— uncover this knowledge and use it to your advantage!
Become a private investigator in a truly unique detective experience. Think like a detective to solve the cases around you: check call histories, find passwords, read private emails, speak to persons of interest, watch CCTV footage and more to retrieve evidence and build your case. Store information on your investigation board and link evidence together as you piece together the ful picture.

So fun
Good game, got only three complaints: - keeps shuting down my pc and I know for a fact its not the components fault - there are citizen informations that arent actively used in cases, such as blood type, age, etc - those exact informations are extremely vague when they are all you get in side cases
One of the best games ever made, close to my soul

Brilliant, funny, love it. Love the tech-noir look of the game. Love the little jokes the devs toss in. The interface is pretty awesome too. Generated cities keep the game replayable.
Immaculate vibes of being a detective in a cold, rainy city. Raising your social status by solving murder cases or doing various gigs. Randomized world allows for unlimited replayability if you love the thrill of searching for the murderer, stopping the kidnapper and more. Extremely immersive game.
Clunky, buggy, borderline unfinished... but also very unique and incredibly complex. Super steep learning curve that the tutorial does little to help you with, but there's now a decent amount of discussion and guides to help supplement. Really dances the line between amazing and terrible. I recommend rebinding a lot of keys early on because the defaults make no sense. The biggest thing working against my enjoyment of this game is that I'm often unsure if I'm a terrible detective or if the game is soft-locked due to an important piece of evidence not spawning. Briefcases and envelopes are the worst offenders. Also I drop about half the jobs I start because I'm supposed to identify and arrest someone without knowing literally anything other than their interest in music. If you're willing to do a little reading so you can understand the systems in play, it feels really good to actually track and catch a murderer. Recommended, with caveats, for ImmSim and stealth/sleuthing enjoyers.
Shadows of Doubt, an amazingly fun game, when it works... Honestly a very one-of-a-kind detective game with its amazingly detailed 3-d pixel art style. However, the game suffers horribly from it's rare patches and updates that leave the game in a state of limbo on whether its going to run good one day or crash constantly the next. Shadows of Doubt has SO much potential to be an astounding game, but seems to have really fallen between the cracks. I still 100% recommend this game to people, but I do warn that it is VERY poorly optimized. I hope that updates focused on optimization and QoL are the main focus going forward and become more common, because I genuinely love the atmosphere of this game, I just find that getting it to load and play consistently is difficult. TL;DR: Game is AMAZING, but mostly runs like poop
:)
dope sandbox detective game. Lots of replay ability.
Интересная песочница с расследованиями, игра в целом мне нравится, и я буду играть в нее еще, но жалко что в ней много багов
