Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

There is a strange trend occurring where my favorite games with deep and complex gameplay are getting downvoted for no good reason. This game is amazing. You can fully role play as a P.I. You need to sleep, eat and drink. If you don’t or get injured you will be sent to the hospital and will be held there until you pay the hospital bills. You can rent a hotel room or buy your own apartment. From cheap low class apartments to upper echelon expensive apartments. You can break laws and even go to jail. You take side cases from local joints like bars and restaurants while waiting for major cases to happen throughout the city. There is a case board for you to easily sort all clues, suspects and leads you find. Using strings to connects the dots. You ask people around town, neighbors, friends, co workers for leads. You use phone logs to trace caller’s locations and CCTV cameras to pinpoint whereabouts and direction of travel. Use the town directory or the government data base to find people or businesses. I am probably leaving some out. You can get a wide range of detective equipment at city hall for your crime fighting needs. From handcuffs to to police batons and lockpicks. You take case resolution forms from city hall for bigger cases and have to fill them out fully for all the cases potential payments depending on how much you have figured out. A dystopian noir punk world with a social credit system that rates how good of a citizen you are. The more you solve the higher it gets. People with the highest social scores go to a place called The Fields. The amount of depth and lack of hand holding here is amazing. I have experienced no glitches whatsoever. I have a feeling a lot of negative reviews nowadays are from young people to impatient to learn complex systems. It’s a shame good games are getting negative reviews from people who can’t understand them..

A beautiful detective sandbox simulator. Too bad the dev completely abandoned the game.
Go to a diner on a lead to find someone who was with the victim\ Bribe the employee to let me into the back room Unlock the pc Set surveillance to not target me Find the camera footage I need Walk out of back room Cameras trip on me, and start shooting at npcs Walk to power box trying to turn them off Sprinting employee dropkicks me at 120MPH Run Outside, drop a trashcan in a public place Get shot by two different people. I love this game lmao
I bought Shadows of Doubt after seeing a youtuber play it and it seemed very interesting. Shadows of Doubt gives me MASSIVE early access vibes. Optimization is nonexistent, a complete stutter fest, BUT I could look past that if the game was working properly. I've done a tutorial and wanted to start a new city, decided to go with the biggest since it's a available option. I load in, constant stutters, okay I expected that, go back and create smaller medium sized city, now the game is somewhat playable. As far as my experience with actually solving the cases goes, even simple cases are often heavily bugged and impossible to finish. I understand the limitations of making such a complex procedural generated game but it's just too buggy for a full game release. I think clues available for certain cases should be more dependent on information the player has available to him, because current implementation makes early game rely too much on RNG. Shadows of Doubt was fun to watch on youtube because all the cases that were bugged out or ones that only gave useless clues or even the fact how hard is it to start a new run, were cut out of the video, or a streamer already had a lot of information on what works good and what doesn't. I like the art style and game vibe (not the EA part). Controls and GUI navigation aren't good and feel clunky. For me it isn't that big of a deal in Shadows of Doubt so w/e. Also why is the dev team releasing updates with rat mode and a filter instead of making a product that feels finished? Just create good modding tools and if someone likes to play as a rat then it wouldn't be a big problem to implement that. Shadows of Doubt could be an amazing detective simulator/sandbox, but in reality it's an unfinished and extremely buggy game with bad performance, there is no good modding support to fix those problems (and a very small modding community) and the dev team focues on releasing "rat" updates for twitch culture instead of making a game that feels good to play for the customers. The fact that it's the only game of this genre on the market will appeal to many players interested in this type of setting, but for me it's a mediocre game, 6,5/10. There are for sure many players that will look past all these problems but for me they ruin the overall experience so much, that I don't want to continue playing. I'm just disappointed and I should have watched youtube videos on Shadows of Doubt from content creators, that feel less enthusiastic playing this game.
No puedes jugar.
I really tried to like it. Kept playing thinking I just need some more time to get hooked but even after 9 hours i just couldn't enjoy playing this game. It's not really a detective game but more of a thief simulator. You don't get to investigate but rather just run from point a to point b while stealing other people's stuff. I wish there was a bit more depth to the cases so you can actually challenge yourself and have a goal. There's also this issue with items or places not being generated so you can't even complete the missions. This game doesnt immerse you like promised. It's very dull, the world feels lifeless even with plenty npcs running around. I must agree to the negative reviews. This game has a good concept. But it's executed poorly.
