Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 25 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Severance is a 1–5 player co-op paranormal investigation game, with a twist...
YOU can become the ghost.
Severance is a 1–5 player, online co-op, tactical horror game. You and your team of investigators enter haunted locations to track and identify 20+ unique ghost types using professional paranormal equipment. Use tools like EMF Meters, Video Cameras and Possession Dolls to gather evidence and spot specific behavioral "tells." Whether facing a brutal AI or a player-controlled ghost in Asymmetrical mode, you must use your learned skills to solve the mystery before the hunt begins.
Choose how you play:
Face a smart Ghost AI designed to stalk, scare, and hunt investigators.
Or enter the Ghost Player Mode, where you hunt as the ghost against your investigating friends
In Ghost Player mode, one player becomes the ghost.
Interact with the map, scare investigators, lock doors, throw objects, and plan hunts strategically. Outplay the team by managing sanity, timing hunts, and creating fear before striking.
In Ghost AI mode, the entity is controlled by an advanced AI that actively observes investigators, reacts to their actions, and builds pressure over time.
It uses the environment, drains sanity, and hunts when the moment is right, creating tense, unpredictable investigations.
Use classic paranormal equipment to gather real evidence and identify the ghost type.
Be aware, the ghost sees and hears you. Every scare, interaction, or mistake can become valuable evidence if you stay calm under pressure.
Severance features realistic visuals, environmental audio, and a minimal UI for full immersion.
Every sound, shadow, and flicker could be a clue… or a warning.
Arm yourself with classic paranormal tools like EMF meters and thermometers, alongside unique devices such as possession dolls to track and provoke the entity.
Success relies on teamwork. Share evidence, communicate clearly, and watch each other’s backs, because whether it’s AI or a real player, the ghost is always listening.

I have only just got the game after hearing many many good things about it and becoming impatient for a console version. I am currently trying to work out how to play and use the items. (normally play console but really wanted to play this so probably taking longer to learn controls) i think a training level might be helpful for people in the future but i am looking forward to getting the full enjoyment from the game once i figure it out. my first impressions of the game are very positive. I love the way the character feels when you move about. I have only been on the house map but love the layout so far. I was caught off guard by getting killed outside the house,(did not know that could happen) which adds a nice feel of 'nowhere is safe' to the game. with this game being so new im impressed how well things seem to flow. i just need to learn what im doing now.
i am loving this game, ive always wandered what it would be like to play as the ghost in these kind of games. i recommend this

ok so i really liked this game and the dev seemed nice but he randomly correlated me with someone else that used to be in the server, and after hes treated me poorly and unfairly banned me from the server without giving me a single chance to respond i can say that this developer is 100% toxic. this is uncalled for behaviour. please do not waste your time with this garbage. i read the review hes so pressed about and it seems to be true because he just proved to me it is.. assuming that no one just leaked my screenshots. amazing how toxic this dev is. i was also unfairly blocked too and accused of stuff i didnt do. will be refunding this garbage. please do not give this arsehole your money. im now helping the person most affected bring an evidence compilation as the dev is avoiding accountability. he manipulated me heavily and is trying to shut down every instance of truth being spoken up against him. link for video: https://youtu.be/EuPyppgRQZw i am also quitting most socials to avoid further harassment and smears from this dev and his toxic stalker-like community hes built.
When I first found Severance, I honestly wasn't a huge fan. At the time, the game was lacking tutorials and there was definitely a learning curve when it came to understanding the ghosts and how everything worked. The information about the ghosts was there, but as with any new game, you still have to spend some time learning how everything works. Since then, though, the developer has added tutorials and made a lot of improvements through newer updates. The HQ has been updated, the control interfaces have been improved, and overall, I think the game feels much smoother and more polished than when I first started playing. The more I played, the better I got at the game and the more I started to understand everything. A huge shoutout also has to go to someone from the community who took the time to come help me and explain things to me. That completely changed my experience, and ever since then, I've been absolutely in love with this game. Of course, Severance has its bugs and quirks, just like any game does. But I have to give a HUGE round of applause to the solo developer for what they've managed to create. The fact that this entire game has been built by one person is honestly incredible. In my opinion, it holds its own against games that have entire development teams behind them. One of my favorite things about Severance is that you can play as the ghost and actually hunt your friends, while also having the traditional experience where everyone works together as investigators to find the ghost. Having both sides of the experience makes the game so much more fun and gives it something that a lot of other games don't have. The locations are great, and I really like that there are locations that are easier to learn while others can be much more challenging to investigate. The game also runs really smoothly for me, and the continued updates have made the overall experience even better. Another thing I really appreciate is how much the developer listens to the community. You can tell there is a genuine effort to take player feedback into consideration and continue improving the game. Seeing things that were lacking when I first started actually get added and improved is really awesome. Honestly, I think Severance is fabulous in its current state, and I can only imagine how much further it can grow. For a game made entirely by a solo developer, what has been accomplished here is absolutely amazing. So this is a 10/10 from me. I absolutely love this game and can't wait to see where it goes from here!
I purchased this on a whim after watching a friend play it, I had the choices of getting Demonologist or The Other Side, having already owned Phasmophobia, and I picked Severance because participating as the ghost itself is a rare treat, and has been enormous fun with friends taking turns. I continue to play and support Severance because it is great, there's fun aspects of the ghost hunting and evidence gathering, and the added stress of unlocking doors so you can escape, it's a great thrill. It's a much more fun immersive game and the community has been so welcoming and fantastic!!
Just started playing Severance today and got a couple hours in. There's no tutorial that I've found yet so you kind of have to just jump right into it. I do like that there's a lot more player character customization in this game than some others and you can customize your main lobby as well if you're the leader. The unique tools to use during the investigation were cool to figure out. The game starts off a little on the loud side but there's a lot of settings you can change to lower volume and whatnot so that's a non issue. I'm sure as I play the game more and get used to everything and have a little more money earned, it'll be a lot more fun to play. I thought it was great for the first couple hours though! One issue I ran into was when I was the ghost. I noticed that the text boxes around the outside of the window were partially out of frame. I'm gonna go back in and mess with my settings to see if I can fix that though.
I picked up this game for 2 reasons. 1. I love horror games 2. As made evident by the fact that the Developer personally responds to seemingly ALL comments - they truly seem to care about making a good game. After playing a single round - I can tell you this game is well on it's way to being one of my top 2 horror games. I can see aspects of Phasmaphobia, but they are done (dare I say) better? I can also see aspects of (the) Demonologist - which is currently my favorite horror game. Did I mention that YOU can be the ghost in this game? I mean talk about innovation, sign me UP! That being said, the graphics are done well. I like that the developer has taken the time to make it FEEL scary. Within my first ~5 minutes of gameplay - I got jump scared so hard, I'm genuinely not even sure what got me! lol IMO - Phasma isn't scary in any way - it's a "horror" themed puzzle game, at best. Demonologist is a great game, it's scary, I love it, but the developers could learn a thing or two from Sykes Games about taking care of the community. I'm very excited for the community to grow in this game, and excited to have early access to watch as the game grow as well.
it's basically just another phas clone, it does give players the opportunity to play as the ghost but that is very niche, it's really fun for a couple hour but then it hits all the same pitfalls as the other slop and the game get old, if you and your friends can get endless fun from playing ghost and hunters then this is for you
HUGE POTENTIAL, really fun, and uhm, scarier than its inspiration, we all know which game. It is jaggy and has a few issues and bugs, but its an early access so its all good! And if the devs see the reviews, I suggest you avoid using AI content even if for assets like posters or images in some maps, I would love to make some random ones for you for no cost tbh, even if not so perfect, they might be better than using AI, that's all, I RECOMMEND.
I have played this game for 1.4 hours and I have to say its fun. The gameplay loop is enjoyable, the gimmicks are unique and the ghost gameplay is especially fun. I have only 2 issues with this game however. 1 - The picture for the painting evidence is so obviously generative AI it isn't at all funny. Why go through the work of making a game just to ruin it with AI. You could have just gone into Microsoft Paint and drawn a stick figure or a rainbow or a landscape and have DRASTICALLY improved the quality. 2 - The male ghost model is directly ripped from Phasmophobia. If you compare the 2 side by side by searching for "Phasmophobia man ghost zombie butcher " and then "severance game male ghost" you can clearly see it. I am impressed with the current quality of the gameplay and have no issue with that, however the little details that make or break a game need to improved in the next patch.
