Top-Down Action-adventure with creature collection and RPG/Roguelike elements. Explore islands, destroy enemies and get eggs of new creatures, weapons and magic. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/W7gN513tZX4 You have a village at your disposal where you can grow and equip your monsters, unlock new heroes and store loot. To get resources you need to go to the world map, choose a location, equip a squad and clear the arena of monsters (the arena content changes in each new run). You don't have to kill everyone. It is enough to unblock the path to the exit and leave the arena. Each of your creatures has a main weapon, a magic spell and can use three buffs of the current hero. In addition, you can equip the creature with assistants - living drones. Your units gain experience for victories and when they leave the arena, they level up. When a creature gains a new level, you can improve one of three random skills of your choice. I liked the game, but the controls are unusual and inconvenient. The mouse doesn't work here, and the control buttons can't be configure. + Action, shooter and RPG elements. + Cute creatures. + Various enemies and bosses. + Many interesting weapons, magic and buffs. + Nice little helpers. + Achievements. - Inconvenient/unusual controls. Interesting and quite challenging little game! A bit harsh on controls but I think they can be improved in the future! Definitely eager to see how it evolves!
Seeker: Quest developed and published by Jestercraft is a top-down action adventure that blends real-time combat with creature collection and light village management systems. Set on the vibrant world of Naturia, the game invites players to explore handcrafted environments populated by a variety of fantastical beings known as Seekers. Rather than relying purely on turn-based mechanics typical of the monster-collector genre, it integrates fast-paced combat and active ability usage, creating a hybrid experience that feels energetic while still emphasizing team composition and strategy. At its core, the game revolves around discovering, capturing, and nurturing Seekers, each possessing distinct abilities and combat roles. Building a balanced party becomes central to success, as certain Seekers excel at offense, others provide defensive buffs, and some offer utility skills that shift the flow of battle. The ability to swap between party members during combat introduces a layer of tactical depth, encouraging players to respond dynamically to enemy patterns rather than relying on a single overpowered unit. This active combat system distinguishes it from more traditional creature-collection RPGs. Exploration plays a significant role in shaping the overall experience. Naturia is presented through colorful, stylized environments filled with hidden items, artifacts, and secret paths that reward curiosity. Movement feels intuitive from the top-down perspective, and the handcrafted level design gives areas a sense of intentionality rather than procedural randomness. Scattered encounters with wild Seekers and environmental challenges create a steady gameplay rhythm that alternates between discovery and action. Progression extends beyond individual creature growth into village development. Resources gathered during expeditions can be invested into expanding the player’s settlement, unlocking new buildings and passive bonuses that enhance both combat effectiveness and exploration efficiency. This village system creates a satisfying feedback loop: successful adventures strengthen the base, and a stronger base, in turn, empowers future expeditions. While the system remains relatively straightforward, it adds a strategic layer that complements the action-oriented core. Visually, the game embraces a bright, stylized aesthetic that emphasizes charm and readability. Character models and creature designs are distinct and colorful, making it easy to differentiate between allies and enemies during hectic encounters. The environments maintain a cohesive art direction that supports the adventurous tone. While some visual elements reflect its Early Access status with occasional rough edges, the artistic identity remains consistent and inviting. Combat encounters range from small skirmishes with roaming Seekers to more structured boss fights that test understanding of mechanics and party synergy. Boss battles in particular serve as skill checks, requiring proper timing, positioning, and effective use of abilities. These encounters highlight the importance of preparation and thoughtful team composition rather than brute force alone. As an Early Access title, the game’s current content scope is modest, offering a foundational slice of its intended larger world. The available playtime introduces core systems and a sample of creature variety, hinting at planned expansions in both narrative depth and mechanical complexity. Community feedback has generally responded positively to the core gameplay loop, while acknowledging that content volume and polish are still developing. Ultimately, the game stands as a promising blend of real-time action and creature collection mechanics. Its strength lies in combining active combat with strategic party building and base progression within a colorful fantasy setting. While still evolving, it presents a solid foundation that could grow into a deeper and more expansive experience as development continues. For players drawn to monster-collecting games that emphasize hands-on combat and steady progression, it offers an engaging and dynamic starting point. Rating: 7/10
Cute, unique with fun and original gameplay! Keep up the good work!
Fun little game with lots of varieties of powers and playable characters: the Seekers. The graphics are pretty and the gameplay is quite fun! The buttons may need a little bit refining but once you get a handle of them, it plays well.
Was supposed to do a quick test run but oops, got hooked! I'm actually a bit surprised how much I liked this, I usually get bored with new games I try quite fast, but something clicked here. I played the demo a while back, and back then I couldn't quite wrap my head around how the game was supposed to be played and gave up trying quite fast. Not exactly sure why that was, but the game's definitely improved since then; it's easier to navigate and understand where I'm supposed to go and what I'm supposed to do. It still feels like it could benefit from a bit more on-boarding and maybe a tutorial level, but it's already a lot clearer than the last version I played. - The gameplay loop is simple and fun, actually addicting - Just right amount of challenging. - It feels balanced, the pace of leveling up feels right, not too fast and not too slow (at least so far) I also like the leveling up system in general. - I only have few different Seekers so far, but I like how different they are; it actually makes difference which ones you choose for the battle. - I love how Seekers are collected. The eggs give me this exciting rogue-lite meets gatcha feeling, one of my favorite parts of this game. I really like how while there are many things going on, it's still kept simple so that each feature is easy to grasp; it's not growing too fast towards all directions leaving me overwhelmed with too many possibilities and too many choices to make. There are some things that bother me with the controls, some of which might just require getting used to, but otherwise I think it's a really nice and fun game with great potential, recommend!
I liked it! First was like meeh maybe its not my genre of game but after learn how to play i get addicted and wanted more!
I was supposed to play just a quick test session on launch and see what's it all about. Got my ass kicked in second level too many times, but I finally beat it. Now I need to see more level rewards. Cute world, nice effects and surprisingly addictive. Definitely interesting to see where this goes!
I have a video with pretty mixed feelings here: https://youtu.be/oWI1bHAl8lU I'd like to say if you're a fan of Pokemon and other creature capturing games, this has some aspects that should be appealing to you. You collect creatures you find through eggs, upgrade their stats, and I guess ultimately build your dream team of creature commandos even. First, the pros: The graphics are nice, and the core gameplay mechanic of using your gathered creatures to fight other creatures and collect upgrades as well as gems that allow you to unlock new things on your island... Well, those are good things for sure. You have up to 3 types of creatures at a time, and can switch to them on the fly during your attempts to clear levels. It gives you variety in how you tackle things, and there are quite a few creatures you can unlock. Music and sound are also pleasant to listen to. Aaaaaaand the negatives... The combat. When I see "cozy bullet-hell," I'm not 100% sure what to think. And then I start playing, and "bullet-hell" doesn't seem like an apt description at all. I should point out that combat gets better as you upgrade your creatures, but getting to that point suffers a bit of frustration. You have some pretty intensive cool-downs for your standard attacks, and it's an absolutely brutal hinderance of what would have certainly been a fast-paced cutesy shooter that resulted in an exciting experience. My level of frustration with the combat was far, far higher than I'd of expected. Now, that being said... It took me a little over an hour to go through most of what's available in early access at the moment. Combat gets better as the time goes on, you can find lots of creatures and unlock new heroes even. But when it comes time to change to a new creature to try them out you might find yourself faced with the same maddening cool-down for your standard attack. Or maybe your bullets go anywhere but the place you want them to. And so, I'm conflicted. There's certainly an absolute gem of a game here hidden under all the frustrating elements. The UI is a bit peculiar, and takes a bit to get used to. I had a bajillion creatures but saw no way to combine them or get rid of them so my creature list could be shortened. I could be daft, and missed it completely... But that's a guess that I can't back up with any real science. What I think would have made the combat better is giving enemies weaknesses against certain attack types. Get rid of the attack cool down. Make my Grub strong against certain enemies and weak against others, but let them attack like a champ. Maybe have slow firing rates at first, and increase the firing speed stat over time with collecting upgrades. For a game that almost certainly consists of some grindy elements to truly unlock all the creatures and create one heck of a team, it needs to make that grind a fun experience that I don't dread going back into. In the end I'm giving it a recommendation because I truly do believe there's a solid game in here waiting to come to fruition. I don't know that it's particularly for me, but I think there are people out there that will absolutely love it.
Seeker quest is a really fun small(ish) game, where you hatch eggs to get new seekers and go battle on arenas until your team wins, or you collapse. That's at least how I perceived what happened in the game. There was dialogue, but I'm an ADHD-millenial who reads enough at work, so I refuse to read on my freetime. (anything I say related to story can be used against me later, and it's okay.) Pros: - Fun wave-based gameplay - Unique abilities for each seeker type - Wholesome and funny art style - Exceptional value for it's price! Cons: - Lacks on accessibility features (subtitles and such.) - Onboarding could be more user-friendly and clear. - Overall, Seeker Quest is a delightful experience worth checking out. I think this developer should honestly ask for more money I recommend!
