About

Promising the Sabotage touch in every system, Sea of Stars aims to modernize the classic RPG in terms of turn-based combat, storytelling, exploration and interactions with the environment, while still offering a hearty slice of nostalgia and good old, simple fun.
Pressing the action button in sync with the animations increases damage output while reducing incoming damage. Along with timed hits, combat features multi-character combo attacks, boosting, and a strategic "locks" system offering options to play with different damage types in order to hinder enemies while they are channeling powerful attacks or spells, all in an immersive take on the genre; no random encounters, no transitions to separate battlefields, and no grinding.
Swim, climb, vault, jump off or hoist up ledges as you traverse seamlessly through the world with a navigation system based on platformer expertise that breaks free from the classic bound-to-the-grid tileset movement.
Our custom-made render pipeline allows the creation of a breathtaking world coming to life by pushing the limits of 2D pixel-art games.
Dozens of original characters and story arcs will take you on a captivating journey. Sometimes epic, sometimes silly, and other times emotional, Sea of Stars does its RPG duty of exploring classic themes of adventure and friendship, while also being chock-full of the unexpected twists and events you’d expect from a Sabotage production.
There are many ways to hang out in the world of Sea of Stars if you feel the need for a change of pace in your adventures. Sailing, cooking, fishing, stopping by a tavern to listen to a song or play the infamous tabletop game known as "Wheels".....every system has been designed to deliver an experience that pays respect to retro classics, while rethinking in some areas to offer a smooth and modernized experience.
Sea of Stars’ adventure is playable in its entirety by up to three players. Allies can drop in and out anytime to traverse the world together and master the Co-op Timed Hits combat mechanic. Also available via Steam Remote Play Together.

Puedo decir perfectamente, que es uno de los mejores juegos Indie que he jugado nunca, lo tiene todo, muy buenos gráficos, una historia bonita y apasionante y sobre todo sencillo de entender cómo pelear y con puzles bastante logrados.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great adventure game , great music !
Had a few hours with the game and here are my thoughts: I found Sea of Stars and Chained Echoes pretty much at the same time, excited about their graphics and music, the charm of old roleplaying games with a fresh coat of paint, count me in, I said. Both indie and both brave enough to venture avenues that the industry is afraid of. I tried Chained Echoes first. It had so much promise but the lack of character variety was first thing to poke my eye, slow and uninteresting combat system the second. It also fealt very much like an indie game with huge labyrinthian maps that the big rpg boys ditched a long time ago. This is not the review for CE though but these two games share similar problems, thus the quick summary. Next I tried Sea of Stars, loving he graphics even more, great sounds, felt snappy to play but the story struggles to get going, struggles to feel interesting and the gameplay of the first 5ish hours have been of a corridor runner with turn-based combat. Just like in the case CE, Sea of Stars ddidn't manage to hook me up, it gave me two generic heroes in-training, throws in one more 'cos even heroes need a friend, and sets you off. Game sure is pretty to look at but the dialogue just doesn't flow. "Whoa, there's a door! Where might it take us? Let's find out." And then you find out. As I'm more of a gameplay first guy the combat could've saved a lot but unfortunately it didn't. You choose attack, skill, combo or item, all pretty self-explanatory. Skills have some sort of prompt to juggle a projectile or time a fireball but nothing very surprising. You can add to damage by pressing X during a basic attack or defend against an attack with the same logic. Combat was no pushover but not very interesting either. Leveling and upgrading and gearing characters felt tied to the exploration and story, which made it feel a tad hollow. My issue is that while Sea of Stars does nothing poorly it does nothing interesting either. If you're into stories then this might be somewhat generic and shallow ride. If instead it's meaty combat and character building that you're after then you might also be let down. I would suggest both of these games for someone who playes rpgs inclusively and enjoys them so much that even a mediocre title deserves to played through at least once. For others I would suggest you to try Chrono Trigger instead, that's the title which inspired both of these.
Even if I didn't like the story that much, the game is amazing. The graphics, the music... I played this at release, but I keep thinking about it from time to time... works well on potato laptops also, looks AMAZING on a CRT
