About

Promising the Sabotage touch in every system, Sea of Stars aims to modernize the classic RPG in terms of turn-based combat, storytelling, exploration and interactions with the environment, while still offering a hearty slice of nostalgia and good old, simple fun.
Pressing the action button in sync with the animations increases damage output while reducing incoming damage. Along with timed hits, combat features multi-character combo attacks, boosting, and a strategic "locks" system offering options to play with different damage types in order to hinder enemies while they are channeling powerful attacks or spells, all in an immersive take on the genre; no random encounters, no transitions to separate battlefields, and no grinding.
Swim, climb, vault, jump off or hoist up ledges as you traverse seamlessly through the world with a navigation system based on platformer expertise that breaks free from the classic bound-to-the-grid tileset movement.
Our custom-made render pipeline allows the creation of a breathtaking world coming to life by pushing the limits of 2D pixel-art games.
Dozens of original characters and story arcs will take you on a captivating journey. Sometimes epic, sometimes silly, and other times emotional, Sea of Stars does its RPG duty of exploring classic themes of adventure and friendship, while also being chock-full of the unexpected twists and events you’d expect from a Sabotage production.
There are many ways to hang out in the world of Sea of Stars if you feel the need for a change of pace in your adventures. Sailing, cooking, fishing, stopping by a tavern to listen to a song or play the infamous tabletop game known as "Wheels".....every system has been designed to deliver an experience that pays respect to retro classics, while rethinking in some areas to offer a smooth and modernized experience.
Sea of Stars’ adventure is playable in its entirety by up to three players. Allies can drop in and out anytime to traverse the world together and master the Co-op Timed Hits combat mechanic. Also available via Steam Remote Play Together.

One of the best games I've ever played.
The best RPG I've ever played. Straight up. The only problem I have with the game is that in certain parts, due to the way the terrain is done, its a little hard to tell elevation/location. For example, sometimes when I'm dropping down from one platform to another, I can;t tell if I'm going to hit the platform below it or the ground. 10/10

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A great oldschool rpg game
挺好的游戏,就是我qte按不准,以后再玩吧
sembra molto bello all'inizio ma il problema di questo gioco che la storia di venta monotona
One of the best 2D RPGs I have ever played
This game is just beautiful, the story is really good with a few unexpected twists and a lot of love, the gameplay can be hard, easy or trivial if you use the items correctly and well... just play it, here, mobile or consoles, just play it <3 P.D. The art book is also amazing
Overall- I say I did enjoy this game to the fullest even when it did leave me flabbergasted with it's story related content, looking at you Brugaves and Erlina. I did play on the easiest difficulty to experience the story more fully and it's interesting how a game set in more of a fantasy setting also is able to insert the future tech cliche through other means in the story. Level Design- thanks to being sprite based in nature the background of the environment is brilliantly colorful and vibrant, or dark and gruesome depending on the scenario. You can never go wrong with sprite based design. Puzzles were simple in nature but still fun to do. Enemy Variety- I'd say this could be it's weakest subject but that's just me, it is clever how each enemy will have resistances and weaknesses depending on the type attacks your group will dish out. Bosses- Now this is where things get interesting, from a giant slug to the literal machinations of a gun goddess, you'll have to play the game to see that fun variety. Thankfully when the bosses get low on health they'll show it which definitely is encouraging to know that you're almost finished them off. RPG elements- Like most RPGs, you have the characters getting upgrades throughout the story to keep them up to pace with the difficulty. Nothing much to say there. Although, I do like the timed amount of turns you have to deactivate an upcoming attack by whatever type the enemy is weak to so that way you prevent huge damage or the boss healing itself. Side Activities- We got Fishing throughout the game at ponds, there's an area that opens up halfway in the story a game called Wheels which can be found in every tavern you come across, and collecting 60 rainbow conch shells to get cool stuff. Music- I'm always a sucker for good music which Sea of Stars has plenty, mine are definitely the boss music and the town of Mirth. DLC- First off I want to know what went through their minds when they decided making the DLC about clockwork and clowns of all things, however it was fun to say the least and a nice reprieve from the doom and gloom the main story could put on you while asking ourselves what our evil twin would be like. Final Words- With 28 hours under a single profile and while a great game, some story beats and even the ending felt like it ended WAY too quickly. That's why it gets a score of 8/10.
In my 3 hours of playing the game on the hardmode difficulty, I can safely say this is such a fun turn-based rpg. This pixilated visuals remind me a lot like the vibrant art style of stardew valley and the gameplay like a mix of Octopath Traveler and older Paper Mario games. I would totally recommend this to anyone who is looking for a new rpg game to sink their teeth into. I also like the fishing gameplay especially since it's not just a bait and catch but instead like a more visual version of Stardew's fishing. Enjoy gaming!
