Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best RU #94, worst PL #97 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 33.43/day in the week to Sep 1 → 32.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I bought this game three times after loosing two accounts. I don't play it that much anymore, but if I lost my current account, I'd buy it for a fourth time in an instant. May not be the best choice for highly mechanical designs as suspension and bearing gets unstable under high load, but other than that, the game is just great
This is kind of a hard review to post becuase there are so many things about Scrap Mechanic that are really fun and make it a great game, then there's all the other stuff that makes it horrible. The game wants you to be creative and engineer solutions to things... with the utmost free-form capabilities to make the whackiest ♥♥♥♥ you can imagine... then immediately punishes you for doing so becuase oops, you didn't follow some undocumented invisible building rule. You want an XXL chest on your vehcile? Forget about that... since the physics simluation collapses the moment there's any kind of weight on bearings or suspension of any kind, while my CPU and GPU aren't even being half utilized - meanwhile the game is choding itself to sub 20fps. Pop my vehicle on a lift and like magic, 100fps+ again. Multiplayer only exacerbates this issue and compunds with each additonal player making it completely unplayable if any creation becomes slightly more than super basic. There are also many inconsistencies with how the game expects you to do things. Water goes in a water container. Chemicals go in a chemical container... I only found out I could pump oil directly into a CHEST after failing to unlock an "oil container" becuase, well, it doesn't exist. Beehives and freezers cannot be automated, yet everything else can. Water or chemicals can't be pulled from a cherst into a fluid specific container, but it will push them out into a chest... why?! How is that useful? The pipe sytem is so basic and has no way to control it with logic or have valves or gates or sorters of any kind, which if we could do/have those things we could solve many issues in our designs. I was really excited for the update, and I really liked a lot of the new content... amazing in many ways... but ultimately let down by problems that have plagued this game since it's inception. Janky physics, the inability to use more than half of the power of a 4 year old CPU and even less power from an 8 year old GPU. I still have 50% of my CPU overhead and 60% of my GPU overhead while the game is meanwhile, completely shidding the bed. I guess it's really hard to just, turn up the load bearing capabilites of the bearings and pistons and suspension... or reduce the weight of many objects so they're no longer, practivally immovable. Why does a single XXL chest weight more than 3 times the amount of a craftbot, which is significantly larger and "in real life" would be a complex piece of machinery versus an empty box. I know which one would weigh more. Make it make sense, or maybe revisit the physics after 10 years and maybe implement Box3D since that's now available, and would almost 1000% for sure make the physics actually work. I really wanted to give this a positive review, but the perfomance problems (that get significantly worse when in multiplayer) just make it a hard no for me. Maybe, when the next update comes out in the year 2037, I might revisit the game if they manage to fix these glaring issues. I'm up to the last two missions the game has to offer, and frankly I just want to speed run the crap out of it now so I can just be done with it. I was really enjoying myself until I wasn't.

After 5 years of silence, you give early access to YouTubers a week before release? And the rest of us, who bought the game and kept it alive, get nothing? No public beta. No communication. Just free ads for streamers. You keep proving you don't care about the community. This is a new low. Do better. P.S. Check Twitter. We're not the only ones pissed.
Bug mechanic, not Scrap mechanic At the time of release 1.0, the physics were worse than they had been originally. Object collision works so poorly that solid two-meter-tall objects teleport right through solid walls. You have to transport cargo by car, so after a few hours it starts to get really annoying. It's also frustrating that the game doesn't let you build just any kind of mechanism, because due to bugs, almost nothing works the way you'd expect. You won't be able to build a car's suspension like in real life: the car parts will start to bend, break off, and teleport however they want. A standard suspension block glitches so often that the car could fly off to the moon. The graphics are terrible. The game looks great in screenshots, but during actual gameplay, it simulates myopia (nearsightedness), blurring nearby objects even on ultra graphics settings. It hurts my eyes and is uncomfortable to constantly look at blurry objects. There are also a lot of fake trees on the map that don’t have collision detection; you can’t cut them down. But they block the player’s view with opaque textures. This is unbearable because the player is forced to build their base far from the roads due to a new bot that is invincible and attacks all players (and cows) near the road. And driving through these phantom trees every time is incredibly frustrating. Previously, progression in the game was based on collecting different types of vegetables to buy something valuable with them. Now, you discard vegetables from the previous tier to move on to the next one. The recipes for cooking meals remain in the game. But the developers removed the hunger and thirst meters. Plus, recipes restore less HP than the sum of their ingredients, so they’re completely pointless. The game now offers side quests. The idea is that you have to build structures and houses according to a given blueprint, which usually requires blocks that you haven't unlocked yet. You have to search the entire map for these blocks and scan them to get the crafting recipe. But these blocks don't appear anywhere on the map, so you can't scan them. Bot raids on the farm have become too dangerous because the developers added a special type of jumping bot. They jump higher than the trees and deal massive damage to any structures, so building defenses against them is impossible. The game has turned from a TD-sandbox into a bad shooter. Now imagine the horror of your car getting stuck in the middle of the desert (a biome where jumping bots spawn). It’s easy for car to stuck there, because the desert is full of hills and rocks, and the tires have terrible traction on the sand. Just one of these bots can pierce right through any car, leaving nothing behind. And these bots move extremely fast. They move so fast that they dodge the player's bullets, which have a delay. So you’ll have to fight for your life like never before. And I'd like to remind you that the game is still full of bugs that can easily break your vehicle every few minutes and also frequently cause cargo to fall out of the vehicle. There have long been rumors that the developers released version 1.0 just to abandon the game's development. Looking at the game's current state, it's easy to believe that. 6 bugs per second out of 10 years of early access.
Bought in January 2016 and had fun building vehicles in creative mode. Came back when Survival was introduced in 2020, but stopped because there was no sprint toggle. Tried again with 1.0 and it's still missing a sprint toggle (or any other accessibility option).
As much as i like this game, after making everyone who purchased this game in EA, wait a decade, with almost no communication with the community for the last few years, for a finished product....only to allow CONTENT CREATORS to try it early ahead of the rest of us, telling the rest of us to.....just wait. I have no respect for this developer, and will never purchase anything from them again.
