Short game with a nice twist. The gameplay is very bad though.

i understand some of the complaints ive seen in the poor reviews, but i think theyre easily looked over. the game is literally 89p. i played mostly because i was curious about how this intertwines with the story of who's lila (great game by garage heathen too, which definitely helps put faith in the intention and purposeful execution of schastye), but i enjoyed this by its own merits either way. very mild spoilers, but this reads to me mostly as a story about
a addiction-prone sad man going through a bout of shroom-induced psychosis, and it's fairly compelling to me.
about the gameplay: im a big fan of non-games, and i think this is perfectly okay. despite the complaints, it really is not tiring to type for like 15-20 minutes, given that you can take breaks whenever anyway. i can agree absolutely with the criticism that this is practically just a book, but for one: garage heathen is a game developer, and this game needs to be linked with their other one more visibly, and two: it is still adding more than it is detracting for sure. i do have a tendency to overthink about these things in games anyway but the room itself and the colours shifting slightly made for some very decent foreshadowing in my opinion. i just find this to be a hard game to be mad at. its a pretty good story and it's 89p, and provides some interesting context for another game too
I accidentally left the game idling for 6 hours extra. I did not have fun but it's exactly as it seems, a typewriting simulator, so I'm not gonna give a negative review. Yes I played who's Lila but it doesn't make the game worth it for me, even with the added context. My fingers hurt a lot after playing.
на пол часа максимум, просто печатаешь рассказ и в конце типа сюжетный поворот ну крч как по мне слабенько
Хз не шарю за разраюа и его игры , но это было ряд прикольна и я даже задумался

ХЗ чё сказать
Shcastye has an interesting story and premise, but the gameplay mostly comes down to button mashing. Considering how short it is, I think it would've worked better as a free DLC for Who's Lila?. I enjoyed it because I played Who's Lila? first and was already invested in the Garage Heathen universe. I can also see why people starting with this as their first Garage Heathen game might not enjoy it as much.
