Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.25/day in the week to Jul 16 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Saltsea Chronicles is a great narrative game, each chapter a bite-sized story in its own right, building up to a moving ending. Every land had its own identity, with a central theme and lots of little details to make it come to life, building up to a world that you want to help flourish. Every member of the crew has their own goals and worries, clashing and reconciling as they pursue their common goal. The way you traverse is also very stream-lined - the game is text heavy, and everything else is in service of that, with easy (and controller-friendly) navigation, clear menus and goals that let you focus on the core narrative experience of reading and making choices, and music and graphics which add to the ambiance of the game but don't take centre stage. (I haven't tried the card game yet, so I can't speak to how it fits in) I also enjoyed exploring the game's possibility space. You can have your own personal playthrough (~5hr long) of Saltsea, and walk away satisfied with how you decided to handle matters. But if you're ready to dive back in, there are new lands to discover, potentially with different characters, and different ways to solve (or not solve) dilemmas. I always enjoy games that feel more dedicated to the journey than just its conclusion, and Saltsea is a journey worth undertaking.

Really interesting story. I love that it was mysterious to the end. I started a replay to see if I can get a better result. Loved the art of the boat and different villages. I like the card game and I find I will open up the game to just play a quick round of cards from the beginning menu. My only complaints are: Why can't I play more than one round of cards within the story at different locations? 2. I wish each location had it's own music theme. I got so "spoiled" [see what I did there] with the amazing music in Mutazione.

I went into this game unsure of the concept. I was a big fan of Mutazione, and trusted that I would like whatever else the developer put out, and I was absolutely not disappointed. Saltsea Chronicles is a beautifully crafted world with engaging writing & characters. If you enjoyed Mutazione, you'll love Saltsea.
Yes yes yes I love this game! I loved Mutazione too from this dev, so I was excited for more cool stories in this pretty art style, and this has so much more to be interactive with PLUS a fun little card game!? The story and the characters are incredibly good and the structure with chapter selects is so interesting, I just can't wait to see what else this game has to offer.
I already played the demo back in June and was already curious about how the final product would turn out. And wow, I didn't get disappointed. Saltsea Chronicles offers rich worldbuilding and a colorful cast of characters, all with their own struggles and secrets (and, well, a baby). The presentation is stellar - from the quirky characters to the breathtaking locations and the soundtrack. The game contains branching paths in a couple of chapters. These will lead to different islands, which are equally self-contained episodes but also connect back to the greater narrative. The writing takes you through highs and lows, from murder mystery plots and spooky stories to a post-apocalyptic religion, whose relics all stem from the present-day world. However, the apocalypse was not really an end to everything, but rather humanity's starting point for something new. Many conflicts and struggles of today's society have been washed over by the sea as people came together and reconnected with the world and each other. Saltsea Chronicles is a consoling story full of hope - a game about the things that unite us, even though we are all different and unique.
I feel like I made all the wrong decisions constantly! great game
A beautiful game with a great deal of passion and care put into it. I was shocked after playing to come back and see how little attention it has gotten. A shame, I love truly creative projects like this. Great writing and worldbuilding and artwork. Gorgeous and unique locations. Delving through each setting made this world feel so lived-in, with history and nuance behind each location. I was immersed. Loved the forking decision paths and replayable chapters, which lets you change your mind and experience the totality this game has to offer. Really impressed, as much as I was with Mutazione which I loved.
Fantastic writing. Thought it might be a bit "too chill" for me, but found myself wondering how characters were gonna resolve differences after just an hour of play. Point and click, very, very low key. Excellent game to relax with and get invested in.
Saltsea Chronicles has a fascinating story, with beautifully written characters and great art. An insightful look on how an anarchist society deals with its problems, together with great narrative. I love it so much, truly a lovely game. I love Iris, they're so cute! And Kittick too, as well as their relationship! I love how many queer people are in this world, and how naturally they're presented. The communities we get to know are well written, and Spoils is really fun too. There are fresh mechanics for choosing your path through the story, with a great save system allowing for forking without needing a full replay. I hope we get to see the crews next steps someday! The folks Die Gute Fabrik deserves all love and support in the world, I hope they can get back together. I'm always left wishing I could live in their worlds. They're very different games, but I'll do this one comparison: When compared to Mutazione, Saltsea Chronicles features way more and longer dialogues. While this does get a lot better after the first chapter, the previous game from the devs feels more balanced in this regard, giving you more natural-feeling dialogues and time to chill in between with gardens as well as more movement freedom. I love dialogues and the story, but chapter 1 was quite overwhelming. As I said, it did get better afterwards tho. (vague spoilers ahead) I deeply dislike what happens in chapter 9, and feel like it's a very unwelcome addition to what can otherwise be considered a "cozy" game. Luckily the path I chose resulted in Kittick being unharmed (unfortunately at expense of another character I liked (I like the whole crew), but one I was less deeply attached to), but had I chosen the path that resulted in their demise I would certainly have immediately abandoned this otherwise great game. The related subjects could've been explored in a way more distant from the crew.
