Sacrifice is the acclaimed real-time strategy game that focuses on combat instead of resource gathering. The only two resources you'll need to worry about are mana and souls. Need more units? Capture the souls of your enemy. Cast spells of awesome power.

I first bought this game on CD in the 90s, and when it came on Steam, I bought it here as well. The Steam version lets me play this game on a modern setup. The game itself is still every bit as amazing as I remember it. The voice acting is simply superb, and the gameplay is both tactical and frenetic. I will never forget the desperation as I try to lead my troops against the enemy even as volcanoes pop up under my feet, or the screams of my guardianed Hellmouths as they fend off wave after wave of enemy attacks. While the character models seem outdated by modern standards, they still retain that Tim Burton-esque charm, and the landscape visuals are still gorgeous. The single player campaign is well written, with memorable characters and a gripping story. Highly recommended!
+Unique blend of third-person action game and real-time strategy, that no other game has managed to achieve to this day +Stylized arty direction aged far more gracefully than most of its contemporaries +Design of characters and creatures makes you feel like you're in the middle of a hallucinogenic trip. +5 different campaigns for the price of one, each with unique missions, spells and creature roosters. You can even switch between gods in the middle of campaign, if your reputation allows it. Extraordinary amount of content and replayability. -Lack of support for modern resolution is making game run poorly on current systems, fortunately there are fixes avaible in community Discord -Interplay recently quadrupled prices of their classic games to "increase revenue", you don't have to finish business school to know that's a financially horrible idea. (Fly the Jolly Roger, mate!) -Controlling camera and interface requires some getting used to. Overall 9/10. White Raven of gaming, rare, striking, and largely unseen by the world that should have celebrated it If we lived in a good timeline, games like Sacrifice would replace MOBA genre. Fact that nothing has come close to replicating its particular genius in almost three decades speaks for itself.

One of the most unique games you'll ever play. Unfortunately, this game can be difficult or even impossible to get running. I cannot understand why they increased the price of the game without a proper update. In fact, it seems a recent "update" introduced more issues. The ai does not seem to work outside of the campaign, no matter the map.
best game ever been playing it for the past 20 years
This is one of the best single player campaigns ever made. This is the single best attempt at combining 3rd person RPG with RTS. It is pure joy with a ton of replayability. The voice acting is glorious.
Sacrifice is truly a hidden gem in the rough. I played this as a kid and to my surprise it still hold up to this day. It's unfortunately overpriced for how old it is but still worth anyone's time who is looking to enjoy an old school classic. It's basically a 3rd person Age Of Empires and does it very well.
best game ever
Niestety gra całkowicie nie działa na nowszych systemach D:
Wonderful game, it was a big part of my childhood, I have it on CD and I buy it to play on my Steamdeck. But now I want to play it on a Samsung s25, only the setup in gamenative is difficult for this game, has anyone succeeded?
I first played through this game back in...2000! When it came out, my uncle had a very nice computer, for the time, and a trackball mouse. I played this game, at like 12 years old, for about three days straight without sleeping or eating anything at all. Still to this day, I have more fun playing this game than I do Skyrim, and that is saying something. It's a very simple game, as far as graphics and computational burden, but man it is a LOT of game.
