Reviews
though it's a game thats been abandoned and left behind by RT, it's community keeps it strong and the mods this game has are very fun to play. Its fun to play with friends, and theres different playstyles to use. You could build a ranged grenade Nora, or have her use hammer combos, Blake you can use her powerful aoe ranged stun or her air attacks, each character has different options like this and as long as you take a bit of time to download the mods it can be a great time sink.
absurdly incredibly disappointing. more rwby than the actual show in that sense if you think about it

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's been a while since I played this game (I received it as a gift many years ago) but with RWBY volume 10 still not having been greenlit, I'd like to help give as much positive feedback to RWBY content as possible. Maybe my computer just doesn't have the specs to handle it, but I have experienced some significant lag issues playing Grimm Eclipse. That is pretty much my only complaint. While not the most complex combat mechanics around (it is a hack n slash after all, which isn't my favorite genre), I enjoyed getting to experiment with the different fighting styles of team RWBY and JNPR. Personally, I enjoyed Blake's playstyle the most, and she is the character I initially beat the game with. I found the game to be challenging enough, but not distressingly difficult. The story kept me intrigued and the voice acting was a pleasant addition. I would recommend this game to anyone who loves RWBY and also enjoys or doesn't mind the kind of gameplay Grimm Eclipse has to offer. It may be a bit of a slog to those who find hack n' slash to be dull. The story of the game doesn't impact the story of the show at all, but personally I'll take as much RWBY lore as they're willing to drop.
我是真的没想到这游戏tm这么肝,不算全成就,我就光让所有角色解锁所有技能,得打50个小时以上,不是真爱粉真的慎重考虑,我真的真的没想到
We miss you, Monty. But we keep moving forward.
Feels incomplete, repetitive, and boring.
Hello! so i just became a Beacon Graduate (Getting all the achievements. Thanks to all the wonderful people who helped me). So i think it's time i give this underrated gem a nice review. (Side note i did not like the ranking achievement). and yeah it's pretty good - kinda sad they didn't do more with the game, like maybe dlc that added new campaigns or something. Also i have never seen RWBY but the setting seems awesome for a couple of RPGs or CRPGs titles! like getting to make your own character and run your own team in a none canon story. Anyways in my personal opinion it's a 7/10.
The game is a joke, despite it's okay appearance. Lack of combo options, terrible player models(had access to the original ones through an outdated version from years ago, which were better and from the series itself), boring exp grind, basically zero lore and the "relics" are just exp-giving drops that you can just skip. By the way, i only bought the game so i could actually give it a review. Rooster Teeth is also a defunct company now, which is both fortunate and unfortunate.
The game isn't as bad as everyone says it is. I've been playing since it's demo was first released in 2015, so I know how bad it actually was. It's just a basic hack and slash game but set in the RWBY universe. That's it. I feel the same way about this game as I feel about the show. Great characters, amazing character design, and fun fighting styles. But the story is bad, and honestly, the plot in grimm eclipse is pretty boring. But RWBYGE is addicting if you care at all about achievements. Wishful thinking, but I would love to see more characters added to the game. You could even add the season 1-2 villains if you only added them to the horde game mode. BUT, since Rooster Teeth has been dead for over a year now, that will never happen.
Very repetitive and buggy unfortunately. Some of the game play is fun enough but theres very little story or sense of progression. Might be more fun in Multiplayer but I ended up playing mostly alone and that gets boring quick.
