Precision runner that gives enough fun even to a beginner. First and foremost, you can ignore the timer that appears when you begin a stage. That is simply included for speedrunners and will not effect you if you like to take things slowly. Anyway, just beating a stage will be a challenge. Along with moving and sprinting, your main moves are the double-jump and air-dash. You will be using all of them in short succession, so get comfortable with them right away. The other mechanic is ball throwing. To open a path forward, you must grab a nearby ball and throw it at a switch. There is no need to worry about missing because the ball will respawn. There are ten stages (plus bonus one where you have to beat all stages in a single run), each of which becomes increasingly challenging. They must be played in order, so you cannot choose which one to tackle next. This could also mean that you will not be able to see the rest of them if you do not make an effort to beat them. One major problem is that there are no checkpoints; if you miss a platform or make a mistake near the end, you must restart from the beginning. I hit a roadblock in level 9, which I'm never going to beat, but the rest of the stages were fun. A stage is made up of numerous floating platforms, and your task is to jump on them and reach the exit portal. Most are sturdy, but some are slightly broken, meaning they will break under your weight after a few seconds. The primary threat is red surfaces, which kill you instantaneously. Finally, there are ordinary architectural elements like walls and columns. These random elements can lead to some creative approaches to a challenge. For example, you can jump on the switch to get to a higher point, or jump on top of the pillar to escape the entire tough stretch. Some stages add “checks” you have to pass through, otherwise the game will kill you even if you never touch lethal surface.
