The game is simply just fun The kind of game that rewards curiosity, slow and overwhelming at first, but not the kind of game that is trying to get you, parrying and dodge mechanic is very forgiving in comparision to other games. But what i like most is the fact that the game feels chill and cozy, i have as much fun when i am gearing up to defeat bosses or when i am doing the chores at base, is a runescape game at heart and you will have to grind for mats, but the grind is 10x faster. Exited for 1.0 i really like what the devs have done with this game so far, where it was at first (didnt play at the time but i was up to date) to where the game is rigth now, in alpha still have more content than some AAA games
I love this game. I am a long time runescape player and this new survival game is a pleasant surprise. This is a legitimate high quality survival craft game up there with the likes of Palworld, Valheim, Enshrouded, Ark and others. The exploration is rewarding and the base building is competent. The magic abilities are very useful and it's a unique twist on resource gathering. I love how they integrated the Qol within the spellbook. I'm also playing this game on a fairly budget laptop and it's running well!

Game runs like ass.
I wonder what forced my CPU to reach 86 celcius degrees at first launch. I will update my review after gameplay
Very fun. Has a bit of an enshrouded vibe.
Super fun game to play with my son! Just challenging enough for him also while allowing for a lot of different routes to play the game. We are excited for the switch release so that way we can both play at the same time!
This game is more frustrating than it is fun. - You can build a village from a large variety of materials - but your chests connect only a very short distance, so that you end up cramming everything into a tiny spot afterall. - You can advance in a number of different weapons of your choice - but you end up having to use multiple weapons, because ranged combat is not strong enough to kill multiple enmies without them running you down. - You can decide to adventure or build - but you will constantly get attacked by enemies that either hunt you, or raid you or a dragon appears every X minutes to blast you with poison keeping you from base building I understand that the game is in EA and I am more than happy to change my review at a later point. But at this point the game frustrates me more than it is enjoyable. Half my materials for crafting are greyed out because I lack something that I don't know how to get. The mechanisms in-game that are supposed to "keep me busy" are very obvious and very immersion-breaking. There is ALWAYS an enemy on you. Go ahead and go afk and just watch how out of no where an enemy will spawn and attack you. I went down a large empty cave in the storm zone and got hit by lighting and attacked by an enemy that spawned on me. I ran out only to be jumped by another one - despite the fact that I have cleared everything around me. Enemies spawn somewhere and just randomly traverse the entire zone like a vaccuum robot that is trying to not miss a single area. That is neither fun, nor challenging. It is very very annoying. The raids on my camp...I completely refuse to even participate. The loot is terrible and the exp is next to nothing. So while I am in camp, trying to build my base, I just sacrifice myself, letting them kill me right away. Much quicker, I don't waste arrows on them and the loot only yields items that fills up my chests pointlessly, anway. The combat is montonous, unless you play with all the weapons. Which is fine, but don't sell me a variety of weapon choices, if I have to end up using them all. There is a ranged armor set and ranged weapons - do you think I will be able to defend myself when going grinding for resources as a ranged player? Sure, a single mob is no issue - but the way you're constantly being attacked by random NPCs spawning around you, there is almost never just a single enemy. So I end up dying constantly. Which is part of the game, I get it. And I can always teleport back. If I have enough law runes. If there is no vent nearby and you cannot craft them yet, you need to run all the way back to your tombstone. And no, you do NOT carry your weapons with you, when you die. You run all the way back without weapons. Which makes the whole "enemies randomly spawning and attacking you" even more annoying. The game has potential and it might be great at a later point. But currently, my joy is wiped away by the annoying issues that seem to be dev choices rather than bugs.
Mega Geiles Game
number go up, good exp bar
Really liked this game, but for some reason recently they changed the controller scheme and made it so much worse with no way of switching back. You used to be able to use the left and right dpad to switch between items and hit up to select them. Now it's a terrible radial menu having you hold left-bumper. I was frustrated enough after having played for nearly 100 hours that I'm just going to find a new game to play. Sad. It's probably fine if you're used to keyboards, but I was playing on a couch with a controller and just don't want to anymore due to the change in controller scheme that's not able to be reverted.
