I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.

Run or Die is an endless runner with fluid controls, rotating powers and thanks to a recent update impressive spritework. However it fails in the most important factor of any runner, after the character movement, the level design. The game uses randomized levels with preset chunks. These chunks are a set of platforms, blocks and hazards based on your current randomly selected load-out of powers. While the chunks do add replay value as they make runs feel unique (at least for the first few hours) the chunks themselves aren't always well designed. Some parts rely very heavily on leaps of faith and punish the player if they guess wrong. There are arrows that guide you towards making the right choice, but they can also sometimes trick you to fall to your death when the game intended you to only fall a short distance before using your Dash or ION power to hover in mid-air while breaking blocks. The fact that the camera doesn't show you what's above or below in a game where much of the level design forces you to blindly leap up or fall down is a big problem. The player character also has a very punishing hitbox where misjudging a jump by even a single pixel leads to death, and this is made even more problematic since the character leans back slightly when about to land, so their foot is above the ground but their hitbox is not. Powers like the Dash and ION also have such long recovery times that some chunks require frame perfect inputs alongside the guessing game aspects. Another issue I had was the moving platforms which seem to move in different speeds and sometimes stop on the floor for no reason making you mistime your jump ever so slightly which again can lead to what feels like unfair deaths. It simply requires a lot of trial and error, memorization and at times luck to make it through, which truly takes away from the smooth flow of impressive feeling platforming you can perform when you see what's coming up ahead. Thankfully the games does give you 3 continues so you might still make it through to the lab and beat the game with some persistance. But for completionists the endless achievements will likely aggrevate, and the Beat the Dev achievement is an honestly ridiculous grind that makes the game far outstay its welcome. It's a shame really, I feel like Run or Die has a lot of potential and the movement is fun but the aforementioned issues hinder me from recommending the game unless you're a glutton for punishment.
The graphics are nice and the music is comfy, but there are bits and pieces of gameplay issues that make the experience a lot more painful than it should be. Some of it comes from downright vile patterns (is the leap of faith you're about to do the one you're supposed to dive through, or the one you're supposed to float in the middle of with the ion laser? Have fun guessing!), a lot of it comes from bugs and other issues that aren't really acceptable in a game like this. Some examples (that I took screenshots of at least) include imprecise hitboxes (dying from touching thin air several pixels away from a box moving away from you), or lasers just deciding to disable however they feel like (you EMP a row of six lasers, only for the bottom two to disable first, then the top four afterwards, meaning you randomly die for trying to time it well). You might decide the price makes it worth it, and that's probably gonna be fair, but be wary that you'll likely take a bunch of deaths that aren't necessarily your fault.

buy it. its cheap, its basically just a very superior version of subway surfers
Surprisingly fun little game, worth every penny. A bit challenging, but you've got those various modes to practice. Pixel visual and BGM are both good. Many maps and it even has Steam workshop! NEW HISTORICAL LOW NOW, JUST BUY IT!!!
3 из 5 графическое исполнение тащит игру на верх, а вот геймплей и реализация управления тащит на дно каждый уровень скилы меняются
Runner simple, pero muy entretenido.
