The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is somehow one of the best and worst game engines. The good: - Everything is templated out for you. There are default maps, characters, events, etc that you can use to help you learn. - You don't need to learn how to code at all - the built-in functions can be used to easily make a basic game. - If you do code manually, it uses Javascript, a well-understood language that's been around for ages. - Tons of resources online to do almost anything you want. The bad: - If you do want to be a smarty-pants and manually code, the box where you enter your code is like 320x240 and can't be expanded, and is limited to 12 lines. It is basically a text box with no IDE functions. That is horrible. - In fact, none of the editor's windows can be resized, and they were designed around 720p screens. If you have a higher resolution than that, everything will be tiny and there's nothing you can do about it. - Almost all documentation of script calls for functions is in Japanese. - Want to write a method or an object? Too bad - on top of having no space to do it, these are stripped and discarded when the game is saved/loaded. This is one of the worst decisions I've seen from a game engine, ever. MZ has the same problem as far as I can tell. - There are no protections for your game. If someone wants to steal your code, assets, etc, it will take less than 5 minutes. You can """"encrypt"""" your image/audio files when deploying, but there are tools online to decrypt them easily. TL;DR - if you're a normal user that knows nothing about code and doesn't want to do anything interesting, this is the way to go. If you want to level up your game, grow up and use Godot, Unity, Unreal, anything else. It's gonna be hard, but it'll take you much further.
I absolutely cannot recommend RPG Maker if you are a serious game developer looking to create something unique in terms of GAMEPLAY, it's better to use any other game engine and never consider using RPG Maker, because it will limit you in every possible way. BUT, if you are an artist, or story writer, or musician like me, and you don't care much about gameplay, you can create a very simple game, like a walking simulator or the most simple JRPG. If your art is unique, no one will care about boring or simple gameplay. If you are a serious game developer: never use RPG Maker. If you are an artist who just wants to create a world or make your art interactive and doesn't want to break your brains over creating unique gameplay: RPG Maker is your best choice. RPG Maker isn't made for games, it's made for art. Think of Yume Nikki, Mogeko Castle, Black Souls, Demons Roots, Ib, Cradle of Nightmares, Fear & Hunger, Omori, Ao Oni, what are they best at? Art, atmosphere, world, music, characters, everything, but gameplay? It's on the second plan, just exist to make the art interactive. Don't repeat my mistakes! Use this engine to create interactive art, not games, because unique gameplay will be VERY limited by bugs and engine errors that simply can't be fixed without coding and headaches.

The software is completely unusable on macOS. It crashes constantly (every couple minutes) just when I am clicking “OK” on a window or without any apparent reason. My game either won’t load, crashes after 20 seconds, or boots to a crash report screen. Most recently, my player character became unresponsive and won’t move (this isn’t due to my code or events). I know now that Kadokawa and Degica dropped Mac support in 2021, shortly after MZ launched. There were no warnings before buying and downloading MV that I saw. These issues are known and reproducible, especially the crash-on-start and movement/input failures. I would not have purchased this if I’d known that it no longer runs reliably on Mac.
