About

█ ROUTINE is a First Person Sci-Fi Horror title set on an abandoned lunar base designed around an 80s vision of the future.
Curious exploration turns into a need for survival when a lunar base goes completely quiet. Searching for answers puts you face to face with an enemy who is certain the main threat is you. Discoveries lead to deeper unknowns and the only way to go is forward. ▌
Note: ROUTINE offers no waypoint markers, finding your way is part of the experience. Slow down, observe your surroundings, explore carefully, and review data to uncover the path forward.
█ EXPLORE: Roam through contrasting sectors of the lunar base, from deteriorating living quarters and tram stations to an abandoned mall. ▌
█ OBSERVE: Investigate your surroundings and uncover crucial information to progress and piece together the events that unfolded before your arrival. ▌
█ IMMERSE: Full body awareness, diegetic audio, and minimal UI help create a gripping and atmospheric experience. ▌
█ OPERATE: Your Cosmonaut Assistance Tool (C.A.T.) is vital. Use it to access critical terminals, navigate the environment and identify clues. ▌
█ SURVIVE: Run, hide, or attempt to defend yourself against unknown threats using the C.A.T. as a last resort. ▌

All i have to say is this is probably one of the best horror games iv ever played and i have played tons of them over the years. I hope someone out there reads this if your scrolling through endless horror games looking for something to play i would highly suggest this.
Amazing horror game but unfortunately I am mentally challanged after watching too many tiktoks youtube shorts and instagram reels so I had to bang my head against the wall until an ember sparked up a region in my brain that let me solve some of these puzzles which werent inherently difficult but just confusing to a humonculi like myself but overall give this game a try it really does get better later on and it takes some turns you wont expect unless you watched the game theory video that matpat will be releasing eventually.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great environment / atmosphere and got a few good jumps along the way.
WOW what an experience. if you are looking for a nice, tight horror game that you can bust out in a weekend, ROUTINE might be for you. THE GOODS: The Atmosphere is top tier. Not just in horror but immaculate moment in time look and feel. The CRTs, the UI on the computers, the 70s technology of a moon base. The gameplay - in the best way you are a guy, you don’t have an official weapon…good luck. The puzzles are great, I got lost, hopefully you won’t. The story - I’ll let you experience it but what amazing imagery and story telling, never giving you too much. Little breadcrumbs and I would say I generally understood what was happening but I always felt on the edge of my seat when the stuff actually happened. THE BADS: The game could be considered short for the price. Maybe wait until a sale but I think everything else makes this game fully worth the price. The game also doesn’t hold your hand. There is no map, there is a task list but you don’t have access to it at every moment. I got lost, it didn’t bother me but based on some reviews that seemed to bother people. The scares, some of the great horror is from the atmosphere and the stalking baddies but no doubt there is a lot of stake put into some MEAN jump scares. If that isn’t your jam, you may want to pass it up. THE OVERALL: This was one of the best horror games I have played. I am only upset that I watched someone play it fully before playing it myself so SOME of the jump scares did not hit. The gameplay is fun, and the time investment was good for me. This game gave me the worst scare of my video game life and I will remember it for a long time.
I WOULD GIVE MY LIFE FOR THIS GAME I WAITED FOR YEARS AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT, AND EVEN MORE FOR THE TYPE-05 ASSISTANT ROBOTS. I LOVE THE TYPE-05 ASSISTANT ROBOTS I LOVE THEM SO MUCH...
Genuinely one of the best horror games I've ever played. It's short and sweet but packed full of content because it doesn't treat you like you've never played a game before and many elements of the story aren't shoved right into your face. Speaking of the story, it's very beautiful and contains a lot of metaphors and such. The game was in development hell for 13 years, I think this small but might team of devs and writers knew they were onto something and I couldn't be happier that they kept trudging through. General rule of thumb for this game is that if you liked SOMA you should play this. And if you liked this but haven't played SOMA then play SOMA
Neat little game to get when it's cheaper. Around $10 value for a horror game with some puzzles to figure out. Liked the parallels Routine has with Beyond the Black Rainbow, but the payoff in the end wasn't as much as it could've been. This is like a 6-7 out of 10.
