About

█ ROUTINE is a First Person Sci-Fi Horror title set on an abandoned lunar base designed around an 80s vision of the future.
Curious exploration turns into a need for survival when a lunar base goes completely quiet. Searching for answers puts you face to face with an enemy who is certain the main threat is you. Discoveries lead to deeper unknowns and the only way to go is forward. ▌
Note: ROUTINE offers no waypoint markers, finding your way is part of the experience. Slow down, observe your surroundings, explore carefully, and review data to uncover the path forward.
█ EXPLORE: Roam through contrasting sectors of the lunar base, from deteriorating living quarters and tram stations to an abandoned mall. ▌
█ OBSERVE: Investigate your surroundings and uncover crucial information to progress and piece together the events that unfolded before your arrival. ▌
█ IMMERSE: Full body awareness, diegetic audio, and minimal UI help create a gripping and atmospheric experience. ▌
█ OPERATE: Your Cosmonaut Assistance Tool (C.A.T.) is vital. Use it to access critical terminals, navigate the environment and identify clues. ▌
█ SURVIVE: Run, hide, or attempt to defend yourself against unknown threats using the C.A.T. as a last resort. ▌

Reviews
Very good take on the "Space Horror" genre. The gameplay is fresh, the story is well told and the game is scary especially during the second half of it.
Astonishing aesthetic.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

pacing was amazing, sounds and visuals 10/10.
Alien: Isolation indie edition
The atmosphere is amazing but why does it feel like my fov is locked to 60? I get its probably meant to make you feel a bit claustrophic but it just gives me a headache. I'm going to try a mod that turns off a bunch of visual effects but if that doesn't work I will be refunding. Devs, please just give us control over these things. I can't enjoy your work if I receive physical pain from it. Only upside is it runs well out of the box on linux.
Das beste Videospiel
Very, unexpectedly good. For a 3 man team, Routine very blatantly blows almost every AAA horror/survival horror game from the last 5 years out of the water. Lots of unexpected twists and depth to the story and the atmosphere can be deeply unsettling at times which of course is what you want. I have yet to complete the game but this has by and large exceeded every expectation I had going in (blind of course). The movement is smooth yet you feel as if you are the engineer yourself, it has a quality of grit and has a tactile feel to it. I've felt like I am actually experiencing the story of Routine first hand. 10/10. Spend the money, it's worth it.
On the moon, nerds have their pants pulled down and are spanked with moon rocks.
I remember being excited for this game from a trailer over a decade ago before it disappeared. Honestly worth the wait. It pushes nearly every button for me for sci-fi horror and retro-futurist aesthetic. Having a device that is used with free-aim instead of being locked to the center of your view. And honestly I think benefitted from being able to cook for more than a decade while games like Alien Isolation and PT came and went, along with the popularity of analog horror. It's just a miracle that it was finished and I'm so happy I got to play it after all these years.
Great atmosphere, loved the CAT mechanics, only wish there was more but somehow was still enough.
