Love this game and the prehistoric setting. Such a fun riff on a farming sim.

I haven't been this impressed with a farm sim in a LONG time. I adore the community centered mindset in the game, it makes me feel more like I'm part of the game rather than just a rando who comes in and redecorates everything. The animal system is the best I've experienced (and I've played A LOT farm sims). I absolutely adore that you need to win the animals trust, it makes me feel so much more attached to them than if I just went to a shop and purchased them. And the choices of animals are SO unique, I love that there are so many options. The characters are lovely, they feel fairly fleshed out, although a bit stale (I'm only 16-ish hours in at the writing of this review so I'm hoping this part gets better). No one has really sparked my interested marriage wise but tbf I've been very focused on building up my fields and buildings. I will say, the caves are the bane of my experience in this game. I have to look up pretty much everything to do with them because I had no idea why I was exploring them in the first place. But even so, I love the small magical aspects the game has, and the storyline through the caves is worth the annoyance of the gameplay. The gameplay loop of the caves is also pretty dang satisfying. I yearn for the caves even as I admonish them. Overall, I am thoroughly enjoying my time in this game and I can see that it will hold my attention for quite awhile.

This is really such a lovely game in its genre. I can't recommend it enough. It's great on steam deck, it's great co-op, it's aesthetically and thematically rich. My favourite song on the OST is Fall (Beach).

If you like Stardew Valley but wish it had more cavemen, this is the answer.

honestly this is the best farming sim i've played. at first, i struggled to get into it because i was used to stardew valley and expected this to be the same. without giving spoilers, once you actually start to get a little further into the game, it really blooms into something unique and beautiful. i *really* love this game
