About
About ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN
Take control of the protagonist Romeo Stargazer in this third person singleplayer action adventure, split into various chapters. His story is both unpredictable and littered with intense battles, interspersed with side missions to suit the player's pace.
A story that transcends space-time
This game's story starts with space-time itself being shattered by a certain incident. Romeo, too, on the brink of life and death finds himself revived by a new kind of super technology. Thus he is recruited for the FBI's Space-Time Police as a special agent, and wanders the cosmos in search of criminals who've taken advantage of the situation at hand in an attempt to bring justice back to the universe. At the same time, he looks for clues concerning his missing girlfriend Juliet, and quickly comes to find both her disappearance and the destruction of space may be more linked than he thought. Donning the mask called Deadgear, what awaits Romeo at the edges of space-time?
Fight blood with blood
Romeo switches between swords and guns to fight. Wipe out the waves of enemies that stand in your path to give birth to a new kind of bloody action, and take down the fearsome space-time criminals that await. Absorb the blood of your enemies to unleash Romeo's special attack: Bloody Summer, capable of turning any situation around. Romeo's various weapons can be strengthened and altered as the story moves forward as he takes on even stronger enemies.

Reviews
It's a game you can play as Romeo, no Deadman in.
Hey, you want some No More Heroes type slashing and crashing? Here you go. Fun story, interesting characters, amazing sound track, lovely visuals, it's all just so solid. The only downside is how short it is! That and having to save up a bunch of money to get every little item if you crave that fresh 100%. So do a lil grinding if you are looking to do that, or don't! It's your game, play how you want.

My time with Romeo is a DeadMan was absolutely awesome and the most fun I've had in a while. RIADM, like all other Suda51 games and media, offers up a unique story that I personally enjoyed and all the characters were likable in their own ways, especially a few characters that make cameo appearances from his past titles. While the story may not be as deep as something like Killer7, The Silver Case or The 25th Ward, the story still has that Suda charm that can rock your world and leave you with a couple questions due to certain surprise elements that'll definitely make you think "what is going on?", in a good way. In terms of gameplay it's really good. The game feels amazing to play and the ranged and melee weapons of choice feel great ripping and tearing through enemies and on higher difficulties like Orange Chocolate, the difficulty I played on, the weapons feel even more satisfying since the enemies are more tougher, they handle even better when fully upgraded too. Every attack feels meaty and it's just really cool to pull off certain moves alongside a Bloody Summer for crowd control. It all kind of reminds me of my time with Dead Rising 2 due to how the weapons feel against enemies. I also can't forget about the Bastards you're able to grow and harvest on The Last Night since they also help out with crowd control and literally saved me multiple times during moments when hordes of rotters came at me or in any of the boss fights, I actually beat the final boss using the one that shoots poison and they died before I could personally get a hit in. I personally used 3 different ones that really helped me out; The DeadlyBowler Rotter that is able to send enemies flying in the air and leave them vulnerable for attacks, the CreepingVenom rotter that spits out poison that damages enemies progressively when hit, and the GreenTornado rotter that spins around really quickly and forms a small tornado that deals a good amount of damage to enemies. There is a bit of a downside here though in regards to the game in that I had two bugs happen in the game that weren't awful but certainly annoying, the first was in chapter 6 when you have to have a character that follows you around in the chapter stand on a platform to reach another activation platform to unlock a gate but the problem was she glitched out and wouldn't move so I had to go back on The Last Night ship and reenter the area to which the problem was solved. The second bug I encountered also ties in with something else that I think is noteworthy, while I don't know if it's my own computer or the game, there were moments when the framerate dipped and this especially happened in the Subspace areas and in Chapter 7 when I tried to get a collectible, the game had Romeo freeze in place when he was trying to collect said item and I couldn't do anything other than force close the game. Thankfully the problem is easily solvable if you lower your graphics settings like I did but I have seen others talk about the same issue and solution that I did in regards to lowering the graphics settings so that the framerate doesn't dip so that's definitely something to watch out for. While the game isn't perfect, it is still an amazing experience and I do definitely recommend playing it if you get the opportunity to do so, especially for seasoned Grasshopper fans since it has many elements to it that I think that will make it enjoyable for them. Definitely a must play game for 2026 and if I had to give this game a rating, it'd probably be a 8.8 out of 10. I really love this game and this game has cemented itself as my personal favorite action oriented Grasshopper title.
fun :)

This is silly and weird and fun. I dig it.
Just more of your Suda51 wackiness, if you've played No More Heroes or Killer is Dead you'll love this,
